Sounds like one of the sensors has gone bad.

Why doesn't the add water light shut off after filling reservoir?

Can you jam something plastic under the float so that it is up as high as it will go and try again. If that doesn't fix it then the problem is likely to be the sensor behind the housing in line with the float.

My Little Giant, Model VCMA 15UL, condensate pump is cycling on and off very frequently. It starts and runs for about five seconds and then stops. It repeats this cycle about every 30 seconds. When this...

Thank you for posting your question here on

Replace the check valve that is part if the discharge hose barb. When it fails the water trapped in the vertical section of the tube comes back into the tank and cycles the float on again causing what you describe. The best way to confirm this would be to watch the water level as soon as the pump shuts off and see if it climbs without any other source of water coming into it. If it is not rising then the issue is with the float itself and is not worth fixing; replace the unit in that case.

I have an Aprilaire 550 that is not working... don't know if the unit is getting water or not or if somethig else is wrong. What steps can I take to check this out. I tried turning the knob to test, then...

Do you hear the solenoid click. Furnace must be on and humidistat must be up. Do you have the ability to check for 24 volts (2 wires at solenoid). Loosen copper nut at solenoid to see if water is present. (Be careful about water spraying). Loosen nut on humidifier side of solenoid. Could be small blockage in copper line at solenoid.(There is a very small orifice there that could get clogged)
Could be Humidistat also. really need voltage meter to check wiring.

Does not brew coffee consistencty, water does not always flow from res tank...even if water flows down from tank the machine will make the heat noise show brew ready and when u push the button it either...

Sorry to read about your issue.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

Little water being pumped in.

Make sure the hot water supply is turned on all the way. If that isn't the problem, check the float on the front floor of the tub-make sure it moves freely up and down, and it should click when it moves. Remove float and clean around the float tub-you may need to do this from below, through the access panel.
Shut off the hot water, pull the front panel, and find the water intake valve. Take this apart to the screen and clean the screen.
If none of this works, you will need to call a repairman

Saeco Italia espresso machine. problems with water light on even though water tank is full. Not sure how to get water flow and/or prime the pump.

To prime the pump run the hot water cycle for a few seconds, also when inserting the tank on the machine make sure it slides down the back making contact that will help the reed sensor, find the magnet in the float.

When using the basket for your own coffee - the coffee grounds go everywhere including in the cup. How do you stop that

Try pushing down on the handle while the Keurig is brewing. Mine doesn't seem to push down hard enough on the "make your own" kcup. It just takes a little downward pressure while the water is being forced thru the coffee.

Prestige coffee maker not working

I had this problem. Make sure the magnetic float rises to the top when the water tank is full. If it does not, darain the tank and dry it. Tuen the tank up-side down over and over to free the magnet. If the magnetic float works (mine did) try pushing in the flashing blue light button and opening the steam valve. It might be a coincidence, but this worked for me.

Make sure that the float in the tank is actually floating, if not then there is your problem. 2 ways to fix it, buy a new tank or jam something under the float to trigger the sensor.

My husband found in ours that the little float was stuck over the sensor (the little patch) down in the reservoir. The float could not rise with the water, thus, the machine did not know that there was enough water available and it would not stop blinking. He took the dry reservoir out, turned it upside down and shook it! This worked for him, as it unstuck the float. He said that if that doesn't work, the thing is really stuck and you might as well return it.
