Could be a restriction in the drain line. You would be surprised at what can get into the drain lines.

With the machine empty, tilt it back enough so that you can get access to the bottom. Brace the machine so it won't fall. If there is a bottom soft panel please remove it. The water pump is located on the bottom of the motor. (It will be either white or grey.) Remove the hoses from the pump. (You are going to get a little wet.) check to see if there is any restrictions in the hoses. (I do this by blowing through them but you may want to do this in another way.) To check the pump, follow the motor toward the transmission. There is a coupler that connects the motor to the transmission. Turn this coupler by hand a listen to the pump. If there is any objects in the pump then replace the pump.

Also, while your under the machine it would be a good idea to check the motor coupler. Move it back and forth and check for any play in the coupler. If there is too much play then the coupler needs replaced. (A coupler that it severely worn can cause the same problem and still let the machine work.

Washer does not drain completely how do i fix

Washer will not drain:

Thedrain water pumpis the main part in your washing machine that pumps out the water. If this is defective or has failed in any way, this will be the reason why your washer will not drain the water. Before you order a new drain pump, make sure tocheck the pump to be sure a small object like clothing or similar has not lodged itself insideof it causing the NO DRAIN issue and even a no spin issue?. If the drain pump is not clogged, you can test it with a multimeter and remove and replace if needed. Go to Google or YouTube and search for "Replace Washing Machine Drain Pump" then type your brand and model number of washer to show you details on replacement.

The washing machinedrain hoseis where the water flows through to get the water out.If this drain hose is blocked, kinked, bent, or clogged, the washer will NOT be able to remove the waterfrom the tub. Check the drain hose to be sure it allows the water to flow freely. You can take the drain hose off and run water through it in your sink to be sure it is not blocked. If there is water STILL in the washer when you remove the drain hose, grab a bucket as the water will exit from where you disconnected it
Thewater pump belt(to drain out the water) may have broke or become frayed or loose. If this belt breaks then it is unable to drain and remove the water from your washer. Inspect the belt to see if this is causing theNO DRAINissue and remove and replace if needed.

If thelid switchis not working as required it will cause your washer to not drain (and many other problems). This may be unlikely as a bad lid switch will usually cause your washer to alsonot agitate or spin. However on some models this can vary. The best thing to do if you have a suspected bad lid switch is to test it. It can fail electrically and or mechanically. If mechanical failure is the issue, you should be able to see if it is cracked, broken, or not in place to make contact with the lid. To test it electrically, use a multimeter set on Ohms and test it for continuityMy advice is free cuz God is good!

Drain is plugged on Frigidaire washer ATF6700FS2

vacuum at full power from both sides, this should pull the rags further apart, making it easier for the water to flush them.

Wont spin leaves water inside

  • Get the washer laying on it's side and using the access hole on the bottom carefully remove the screw clamp holding the large hole of the rubber housing to the tub drain (it will be obvious all other clips are green compression clips).

  • Carefully work the strainer out of this flexible rubber drain housing through the large hole.Clean it out and replace you will be good to go. Also remove all the hoses and check for a buildup of gunk. Hope this will fix your problem.

Thank you !!

My washer stopped during the spin cycle. Now I can get it to fill with water But aggitate and spin it just makes a noise and the tumbler is locked up tight

Your shaft coupler / motor coupler has likely broke. Not too hard to fix yourself, but you will have to remove the water from the washer first.

Remove the clothes, place them in the bathtub. Roll a garden hose from the washer to outside where drain water won't matter. Tape the garden hose to the drain hose, and lower the drain hose to the floor. Water will flow through the garden hose outside. Turn the washer over, follow directions supplied with new part, and replace the motor coupling. When finished, reorient the washer, remove the garden hose, place drain hose in the drain stand pipe. Run the washer through a couple of full cycles, then rewash the clothing.

Unit will not spin

More information would be helpful..the limited information you've given leaves diognosis wide open to being any number of 100 things..does it drain water? Pump may be blocked. Some people just say my machine wont spin! .but really it wont drain & therefore it can't spin until it has drained first.

My wf t1001tp wont drain...can anyone help?

sounds like a blocked drain hose or a faulty pump motor..If the machine can be drained by putting the drain hose lower than the water level then the hose is not blocked and it may be the pump...Make sure the hose leaves the machine from under the tub and not high on rear of washer. Obviously water won't flow uphill..If the pump has failed a new pump motor is much cheaper than buying a whole new pump....Nomess

Maytag Neptune Washer Wont Spin Water Off

The obvious place to check would be the drain pump and the drain pump motor.
Disassemble the drain pump and check for a blockage.
Make a jumper wire and connect to the drain pump motor to make sure it works.
Then report back.

Kenmore 70 washer will not spin in some washing modes

Has this Washer got a drain water filter ? if so check it first. also some washers have a 'delicates' program which leaves water in the drum to stop creasing, check you manual.
