Try to reistall all the fonts to the windows fonts folder. then it will shows all teh fonts. To install the fonts copy and paste fonts from your hard drive to c:/windows/fonts folder. Best of luck.

Attachmate does a a QFE (Quick Fix) available, but after installing x-treme 9 you see that some of the Lucida fonts are missing from Notepad or Word a quick manual fix is to go to the Control Panel and open the Fonts folder. Just opening the folder will register the missing font.

How to import fonts to photoshop?

  1. Regardless of the source, download the font and save it in a fonts folder on your hard drive.
  2. Step 2 Double-click the fonts folder and choose "File." You should be able to select "Install New Font" at this point.
  3. Step 3 Find the fonts you want to install. They may be on a CD or in a folder on your hard drive. When you download fonts from an online site, save them in a place that is easy to access when you install them in Windows.
  4. Step 4 Highlight the TrueType or OpenType font you wish to install and click "Ok." This will complete the installation. Programs, such as Photoshop will automatically incorporate the new font in the list provided by the program.
  5. Step 5 Go to the start menu and select "Settings." Open your control panel. In Windows XP, the control panel will be in the start menu. There is no need to look for "Settings" first.

Hope this is what you need

Some of the font in font book do not appear in quark.

QuarkXPress 6 doesn't offer full support for fonts, in this case you can try putting those fonts under HDD>>Users>>home user>>Library>>fonts folder and place the fonts here.
now launch QuarkXPress then check if the fonts appear

Unable to load post script fonts in windows-xp

Well postscript fonts are vector outline fonts, so they contain instructions about the building of their outlines and curves and such. Hence two files are required to use a postscript font under Windows.

As to how to install these fonts, well
  1. Click Start | Settings | Control Panel.
  2. Double-click on the Fonts folder.
  3. Choose File | Install New Font.
  4. In the Folders menu, navigate to the folder containing the fonts that you wish to install. A list of available fonts will appear in the List of Fonts window.
  5. Click on the font you wish to install or use the "Select All" button to install all fonts in the List of Fonts.
  6. Click on OK.
Please keep in mind:
  1. If you are installing fonts from a CD be sure the 'Add without copying files' box is NOT checked; unless the fonts are on a located somewhere (such as a network) which you will have access to at all times.
  2. Postscript fonts have two files: PFB (printer font binary has outlines that control how the font looks) and PFM (printer font metrics has information about font spacing). Be sure you have both font files.
  3. If you currently have or previously had Adobe Type Manager Deluxe 4.0, 4.1, or 4.1.1 installed you may need the Adobe Deluxe Updater in order to properly use your Postscript fonts under Windows XP. Get it from Adobe.
Hope this helped. Let me know and if yes please rate me:)

Fonts not installed

Fonts are typically available either for free or for a fee.

Only fonts that are visible in your C:\WINDOWS\Fonts Directory will be available to print.

You can google fonts and find more if you are looking.

Also, depending on the program you are using, you can save as a .pdf to print and this will "pack " you fonts into the document. You cna also use the "prepare for commercial printing" option in MS Publisher to store the fonts in the file.

Bottom line, if the font isnt installed, you cant use it.

You may be getting this error if the document came from someone who has the font but you dont. If that's the case, tell your friend you need the fonts. Just copy them out of the E:\WINDOWS\Fonts directory to your disc.

That should do it.
