Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
I have an Acer Aspire 5100 PC notebook which worked fine with no issues until just recently. We restarted the computer for some reason and all the sudden the keyboard and mousepad were unresponsive. We had recently purchased MP3 players for our kids and had one plugged into a USB port to charge it. I find it hard to believe that this could have hurt the computer, but it is ironic that shortly after plugging that in, the computer died.
I have to know the working of computer parts one by one

Hmm have you tried an external usb keyboard ? if it works all you need to do is restore your computer to a previous date , one in which they were working :)
If not you will need to take your computer in to a profession for them to reset and flash your board, and if that doesnt work you will require replacement parts..
BTW plugging the mp3 player into the usb should not have cause that issue :)
