Question about ASUS M2N-MX Motherboard
Os windows sp2
mobo asus m2n68-am plus...Onboard graphics
cpu amd athlon64x2
hd hitachi 250gb
ram Kingston 1 gb
psu dtech 450w
thanks in advance for any and all help.
I put this together this morning booted it outside the case bios came up ok.so I mounted it in the case...tested again bios came up ok..hooked up the hd started loading windows xp sp2 it quit copying files about 50% of the way in..I hit esc a couple times to try and get it started..no luck so I hit F3...quit setup and the computer went to reboot
came back black screen...I changed the ram to a known working one,no luck...I went and got a new dtech 450w power supply and installed that...still no luck...I took out the cpu...to see if it it would boot to error screen ...no luck...any Ideas would surely be appreciated

Try to remove the battery from the MB, and next time you try to install WIN XP, when you are asked how to format your drive, chose quick NTFS formatting; disable floppy drive in BIOS, because it might try to boot from it (and I suppose you don't have one), and in boot sequence (BOOT DEVICE PRIORITY) set cd-dvd as first, and HDD as second, and turn off any other device as bootable
