For Anthony Pitt, The Samsung in your questiobn does not use the same power supply, I found one tip that says to check transistor Q802S on your power supply module, to insure the middle leg of the transistor in not broken from the transistor to the pc board. Thsi can cause erratic behavior. If the screen starts to behave after it's been on for awhile, your issue may be defective capacitors. Be certain none of the capacitors have raised tops. I have had intermittent issues with 46 and 52 inch screens. Failure occurs at the ribbon connector of the lcd screen and is only repaired by replacing the screen. I've found some repair tips on You Tube, but these have not been very reliable.

Clicking tv wont turn on

you could have several things going on, I would suggest you start with checking the power supply capacitors. If you see any with bulging tops, have them replaced. This is the most common cause of the clicking problems.

It's sharp 52 inch lcd tv. Model is 52SB55U. I could not turn on the tv. There is no backlight, and only the power and opc indicator are blinking. I tried the factory reset, it didnt work. It could be...

Check the power supply; look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops, check to see if you have standby +5vdc at the power supply connector, the front red indicator will not be on if you do not have this +5vdc standby voltage due to shorted out power transistor and zener diode...if otherwise, Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like, to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help in solving the problem....

Switching of opc and power light when tv is turned on but no picture

Use a flashlight 2 inches away from screen to see if you see a picture, if so then it's your inverter boards that needs repair or replacing. If no picture then power supply board may have bad caps

I recently purchased a 52 inch LCD. I have

This could be the speakers are vibrating onto the casing and need padding out more to prevent this.If this isnt the case, you may have a sticking coil on one of your speakers..When the sound distorts, remove one speaker in turn to see which one(s) are the offending unit(s) and replace. Is there a buzzing noise coming from the speakers especially in low volume? If so then you may have a faulty capacitor in your power supply producing hum on sound. Hope this helps :)
