Unstable software somewhere. Try to run a system restore back to a date when you didn't notice a problem

If you have having boot problems and the system keepsrestarting, then turn off the computer, then hit the power button andimmediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Scrolldown past Safe Mode and you will see an option to DISABLE AUTOMATIC RESTART.Take the Disable Automatic Restart option. This should allow you to see an error message if one is being presented.

Pavilion dv7 keeps shutting down

  • This may not fix your issue but its worth a try ...let me know how it goes
  • If the computer appears to shutdown and then attempt to restart without displaying an error message, do the following to disable the automatic restart on error setting.
    1. Click Start , right-click Computer , and then select Properties .
    2. Click Advanced system settings , grant permission to continue if prompted, and then click the Advanced tab.
    3. Click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section of the Advanced tab.
    4. Deselect the Automatically restart checkbox under System failure .
    5. Click OK to close the Startup and Recovery window, click OK again to close the System Properties window, and then close the Control Panel window.
    6. Restart the PC.
Disabling the automatic restart setting allows time to view the error message that displays on the screen. Contact the manufacturer of the program or device that is causing the error for specific information about the error message.

When you use your remote start system the vehicle will run aprox. 15min. ( depends on your settings, check your manual) But will go thru a cycle and shut it self off and then restart the vehicle again until you either push the remote stop button, depress the brake, open the hood or insert the key.

How to turn on toshiba satellite M300 laptop from hibernating mode

hi shirleygty, is that automatic hibernation (the computer hibernates by itself) or manual hibernation (by pressing the hibernate button)? If either applies to your case you might need to update the BIOS information for your computer to fix the power management issues on it. You can get it here. Just run the file, click install & choose Install From Windows. Make sure you don't have any BIOS password or any external devices connected to the computer. When the update completed successfully, your computer will automatically restart, then try hibernating this time (manual or automatic). I do recommend setting the hibernation to 1min. at the control panel > power options > change when to turn off the display. When it hibernates, pressing any keys or the power button should wake up the computer.

    Hope this helps.
