WURLITZER OMT CD 100 D picking problem

Hello, I have a problem with WURLITZER 1015 OMT CD 100D. The arm go to pick up the CD, but returns in the same time as it lock the cd in the gripper.Result is the CD is supported on two points instead of 3 in the arm grippers and it sometimes put the cd on the wrong position at reproduction mechanism or it throw the cd. The problem is in the timing of arm moving. If it would move just a bit later the gripper lock the cd it would be all fine. I don't have the service manual. Thanks, J.P.

Hello J.P.,

You need to get the manual for this jukebox.
You have to however confirm what the manufacturer and the model number of this is. The One More Time was made by the following manufacturers:-
Wurlizer, Rowe Ami, Rock Ola, Antique Apperatus and Sound Leisure.
Look for a serial plate on the back of the jukebox in order to get any information.
You can get manuals in the USA from www.victoryglass.com

The carousel is locked in position by the latch at the front (about 6 oclock). If the gripper isn't exactly in line with the cd then you need to adjust the latch a bit.

Records (45's) are sporatically not being picked up by the return

This is either caused by a need for adjustment or a lack of lubrication over a period of time. Please email me for my phone number so I can help you over the phone, Rod, tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com.

OMT Gripper Issue

There's a spring wound round the shaft of the rod that drives the gripper gears. Oil very lightly. The gearbox rotates when it puts the arm back but the arm is held against the driving part by this spring so if it is sticking the arm will not turn over properly even if the drive shaft is doing what it is supposed to.

Wurlitzer arm keeps running

check the white plastic actuator next to the gear box, it is probably broken and not actuating the microswitch underneath it, these often fail, it may look ok,, but it actually is loose and the set screw on top of it is not clamping it to the rod.
