Have a look at the memory card, you should see a tiny slide switch to lock the card.

Memory card in my sandisk mp3 player

The e200 series does not support SDHC cards with stock software. You're stuck using regular 2 gig microSD cards, OR upgrading to Rockbox software, which DOES support the SDHC cards. It's a software limitation, in other words, not a hardware limitation.

Memory card not ready

are you getting a format error? the card (if new) should be "ready" already. also you may want to verify in your owners manual that the phone can handle a 4 gig card.

How will i reformat a sandisk mobile memory stick duo

if its messing you phone up take you phone and have it checked and make sure it will read the card and as for the card trash it and get a new one they wear out fast if you take alot of pix and transfer them alot the cards are only good for limited usage you might be able to format it 5-8 times b4 you have to junk it i'd get a 2 or 4 gig sd card to hold more so you dont have to format as much but as for formatting it put it into a card reader on your computer and right click the drive in you my computer and click format

Can't copy songs on to SD 2 gig Card in Sansa e250

the card shows up as a separate drive letter, remember that
when the card is in the player, look for the second drive letter in My Computer and add the songs to it not the first; yes the card will show up in your library on the player only after you have unplugged it and restarted the player.
