I have read that the E in the upper-right hand corner of the status bar indicates that the cellphone is in the proper service area and signifies the edge service. My phone has been switched from E to G, but I just started noticing it. Does this mean that my internet or something is on that I do not know about? If it is just an indicator then I am fine with that, but if not I definitely need help. I would just assume that it is standing for Edge and GSM, but I want to make sure.
p.s. I did turn off the 3G capabilities to promote a healthy battery life, that is why I assume they stand for Edge and GSM. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The icons only mean the the blackjack is connecting to different signal strengths. You are not connected to the internet or anything else. Just notification of signal type. You can use the internet with all the symbols, but it will be fastest with 3G showing.
