Repair LG Plasma #42PC3D

Look to see what inverter board/s this model uses---likely if two--one is bad or if one it drives the left/right sides of the Panel--should not be too hard to locate by Google the model number "boards"

Problem with the LG 42PC3D 42 in. Plasma Television Horizontal half black screen, sound is still there

Sorry this tv it is not repairable because the tv Plasma screen panel itself it is the tv problems and the causes, this tv only can be repair by replace the whole new tv Plasma screen panel itself only not practical.Because the tv Plasma screen panel are 90% inportant to the tv functions and the cost of the tv.By replacing the tv Plasma screen panel will cost the same as a new tv.

I have snow on a black screen when nothing is on.It is a LG 42PC3D I still have a picture when I hook up my HDMI. How do I get rid of the snow.

Sounds like your y-sustain board is getting ready to go. You need to have a shop replace it along with the z-sustain board to fix it. Hope this helps.

LG Plasma 42pc3d turns on, pops, turns off

Its very likely that you need to have LG perform a sodtware upgrade on your unit. Contact LG and see if your tv is one of the applicable units with software upgrade issues, please let me know if it works. Good Luck.

Plasma tv has little red dots in the black

This problem (known as sparkles) can be cured by adjusting the ramp control on the Y-Sustain board. If this does not cure the dots then there is a software remedy for the control board which an LG repair centre could fix. Failing that a replacement board is required. The orbitor & whitewash are like screen savers to help to prevent a screen burn from a permanently displayed image.
