First you need to connect your camera to your computer using teh USB cable, Now you will noticed that camera will shuts off when connecting via USB cable Thats Normal., now if your using windows your computer will automatically detect by computer., You can transffer manually your picture by clicking the my computer icon, and under that my computer you need to click the icon of your camera or if you see a removable disc click it fou you to able to see the picture stored in your camera., Now if you want to transffer it automatically you need to install the software of the camera and its driver the easyshare software., If you dont have the software you can easily download it at kodak.com/go/easysharesw

I want to buy a new kindle but am concerned about transfering my books to the new kindle.

Two methods.
First: A computer is required. Connect the old Kindle to the computer it should show up as a new drive. Open that drive and find the books. Transfer them to the computer. Plug in new Kindle and do the same only transfer the transferred books from the computer onto the new Kindle.
Two: If you purchased the books from sources like Amazon, your books are saved on their cloud. Simply connect your new device and download all your books again.

I wanted to transfer some pictures onto my computer, but my computer wont read it. My camera charges and it works fine but when i go to "my computer" my camera won't show up on there. please...

I am not sure how new/old your camera is but when I had that problem I had to re-install the Kodak software that came with my camera. It worked fine after that. My new Kodak i just bought-(of which i am not a fan of Kodak but had to go cheap when looking for a long zoom) worked right away without installing anything-it didn't come with a disk either; however; it showed up in the My Pictures section not the My computer..so maybe check there...best of luck

If the camera finds it hard to read the SD card:

Memory card support for M863 is SD/MMC up to 8 Gigabyte.

If the camera is not transferring to the computer:

Here are some possible solutions:
Remember you need to turn the camera on when transferring.
Try a different USB outlet
Try a different cable
Try a different computer.

Have a kodak M863 camera. Lost instructions.

You may view the user guide here and the extended user guide here. See this page for loading the battery.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
