How do I cancel my subscription to Fixxya Ltd. I'm being charged twice each month since August and have attempted to cancel through the web site without any success. If I continue to be charged for this service, I will contact the credit card company that includes the unwanted service on my bill each month. Please reply to this and indicate that this service has been terminated as of September 2009, the month in which I first unsubscribed. Mercedes Ballou

I cancelled NetZero and I have another ISP. They say they cannot refund for August which just posted. That does not seem right. Can you help?


With such things there is a cancellation period. It is often ONE FULL billing period. It your subscription is from say 2nd of the month of May and you cancelled it on the 5th May, you would have to pay all of May, and then all of June (one full period) and your sub would end 1st July.

Not a 'simple billing activity', you are terminating the contract you signed. It will be in the small print somewhere when you signed up that nobody ever reads :>)

FixYa does not charge a subscription fee. It is free. Whatever web site you are trying to cancel your subscription to, this is not the place to request it. You will not get your request honored here....sorry.

I haved signed up for hulu plus free one week trial and im not happy with it. I would like to cancel before I start getting charged. How do I do this?


You can cancel your Hulu subscription at any time by visiting your Hulu Account page on a computer or mobile web browser.
If you decide, for whatever reason, to cancel your Hulu subscription, you can do so by visiting your account page at hulu.com/account on a computer or mobile web browser (and sign in, if prompted) and following the instructions for cancelling. After you have cancelled your subscription, you will receive an email confirming the cancellation. Please keep this email for your records.

By cancelling your Hulu subscription, you will continue to have access to the Hulu service until the end of your billing cycle, but will not be charged at the start of your next billing cycle.

I want to cancel my subscription to Cupid.com but it will not accept my password on the cancel account bit, although it will allow me on the site with it. What can I do. I really don't want to be...


If it is a direct debit, just call your bank and they will stop the transactions. Might i suggest in the meanwhile, that you try another web browser? It might be the case that the information is not being sent properly (very unlikely but you never know!). I'd recommend Chrome or Opera, they're both very nice and are relatively standards compliant.
