Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
This problem is called Yellow Light of Death (YLOD). What has happened is solder has bridged underneath the processors and needs to be re-flowed in order for it to work again. If your unit is still under manufacturer warranty, send it to Sony and have them fix or replace it. If it is not, we can fix it for you. We charge $40 to get this problem fixed. Feel free to go to www.wiredextreme.com and we'll be glad to answer any further questions.
