I was finally able to get the tray open and found that the paper guide was set about 1/2 an inch too small, therefore the paper was wedging into the back of the printer. Thank you very much for your assistance.

I had a similar problem. Could not get the paper tray out. Took two hours, but finally I turned the printer off, turned it up to where I could see the bottom of the printer. Then I pushed the tray in from the middle at the same time I tried lifting the tray. It worked. I don't know the correct solution, but at least this one works (this time). I had the same problem about four months ago, but finally after tugging on the handle for about thirty minutes it opened up! Sorry piece of engineering or desiigh or both.

HP Pro 8500 printer will not feed paper keep getting "load paper" error even though paper in tray; found small white "gear" in tray.

If the gear is broken, you most likely need to replace the pick up roller which is extremely hard or almost impossible. You may try to see if the error is really with the broken gear, or you if you just have a dusty roller that picks up paper by checking if the rollers is actually spinning when it is trying to pick up the paper.
To see what the issue is with gear or roller, try the following:
1. Remove the output paper tray and paper from the loading tray.
2. Send a copy job or print job through.
3. have a flashlight to shine light on the pick up roller and se if it spins. Try touching with your hand to be sure.
4. If the roller spins, put some alcohol on a cloth or paper towel and clean the rubber rollers.
5. Wait a few minutes, load paper and try sending copy job again.
If the roller is not spinning, then you have a problem with gears for sure.

It says printer out of paper. Load it up. It had paper in the tray. But keeps giving same messageI use plain paper.Getting so annoyed with it. Gail

Printers have a paper out sensor and corresponding flag that hangs down under the printer when the paper tray is removed or opened. From your description there is some issue with this flag and/or sensor which is registering the paper out signal when in fact paper is loaded into the tray and the tray is installed.

Hope this helped.

My printer says the number2 the e what should i do i have replaced the ink

E, 2 is an alert that the paper is not as being correctly loaded into the paper tray. Remove your paper and get a fresh, dry supply of new paper. I suggest using only five pages or so, and separate them to remove static. Place them into the feed tray and get the guides so that the paper is properly aligned...not too tight and not too loose. Try printing. If you continue to get the error code, remove the paper and make sure there are no obstructions anywhere in the paper path. Sometimes when users get a jam, they snatch or roughly remove the page and tear tiny pieces off that remain inside and can block sensors. If you find any bits of paper, remove and cycle the power and then try to print again.

HP 7150 inkjet printer stopped loading paper.

Hello
Happy new year and start reading solution with Smile and trust.
Based on information you have provided I understand that your printer has stopped loading the Paper.I recognize the importance of resolving this issue and I look forward in providing you with the necessary assistance you need.

Please check the Following Link to get the guidelines
"How to Load Paper" its silly to ask you but its better to keep information updated

Try by Following the steps below to correct the issue:
  1. Disconnect power to the printer.
  2. Remove all photo paper from the Photo Tray.
  3. Push the Photo Tray completely into the printer.
  4. Snap the Photo Tray out (towards you) sharply.
  5. Reconnect power to the printer.
  6. Print a self-test on 8.5 X 10 paper.
  7. Engage the Photo Tray.
  8. From the Printer Toolbox, select Calibrate the Photo Tray.

If the above solution wont work then there something to do with the Adjustment/alignment of the Tray.

Paper is not picked due to the Try --

If you see inside there will be a small rubber which need to be clean by the spirit .. Check this out as well .. as i tried on my printer and it works
Do slow and with care --

If it works Vote me

Paper feed

Fixing paper feed problems
  • Ifthe printer is not picking up paper, check to see if there is paper inthe IN tray. If there is not, load paper into the IN tray and press thec00153917.jpg RESUME button.
  • Do not load more than 100 sheets of 20-pound paper in the IN tray. The paper stack should not exceed 10 mm or .38 inches.
  • Use the same type paper in the paper tray when you are printing.
  • Makesure that the paper width adjuster is against the left side of thestack but is not blocking the stack. Push in the paper length adjusterto make sure that the paper is fully seated in the printer. Do not pushso hard that the paper buckles.
  • Do not use paper, envelopes, or cards that are torn, buckled, have curled edges, or do not lie flat.
  • Ifusing the IN tray to load several envelopes, push the paper lengthadjuster toward the envelopes until it stops. Do not bend the envelopes.
  • Load only one envelope at a time in the single-sheet input tray and be sure that it is inserted fully into the slot.
  • Use envelopes with square flaps instead of triangular flaps, or tuck the flaps inside the envelopes.
  • Ifthe printer's paper feed rollers become covered with debris (dust orpaper fibers), clean the rollers with a soft cloth dampened with water.
  • Ifthe paper loads unevenly in the printer, one or more of the rollers onthe rear access door is missing. Remove the rear access door and checkto see if all six rollers in the door are present. If any are missing, the door assembly needs to be replaced. This is a customer replaceablepart, number C4557-60076.
  • Ifthe printer does not drop any paper from the wings to the OUT tray, remove the excess paper. The paper stack should not exceed 10 mm or .38inches.
  • Ifthe printer is sending more than a single sheet through at one time, remove the paper from the IN tray and separate any sheets that arestuck together. Reload the paper in the IN tray.
  • Ifthe printer is not ejecting paper, then turn off the printer. If yourcomputer is turned on, turn it off. Then, turn on the computer. Wait afew seconds. Turn on the printer.
NOTE: If you continue to experience paper feed problems, try other media or paper types. Refer to the User's Manual for supported media types and specifications.

I would perform a hard reset of the printer electronics and also reinstall the driver to see if the combination of these two procedures restores proper operation.

Sensor

Hi, More than likely it could be the paper sensor !!! It recognizes the tray has paper and when the tray is loaded with paper. My suggestion for any dell printers are to take them to your local dump and get rid of it. The only reason I say this is because dell makes these printers where the parts are impossible to get and when you can find them your better off buying a new one!! I know it's frustrating but my suggestion is to try Hp or a diffrent MFG!! Good Luck! Thanks
