Question about Dell Inspiron 1526 Laptop

Ok well the left mouse key on my laptop which is a inspiron 1526 is jammed is there any way to fix it?

If it's truly stuck, you would need to replace the entire palmrest assembly, as the touchpad and buttons are integrated into it and are replaced as a unit.

This would just be the upper plastics, not including the keyboard and the hinge cover (area above the keyboard).

You CPU fan is Faulty. You need to get it fixed. If the fan goes out, unit will overheat and cause damage.

How do I turn off the double click function of the mouse pad on my Inspiron 1525 keyboard? I just want the click funtion on the left and right buttons but not the finger pad.


For this you need to follow the following steps:

Click on Start-> Control Panel -> Click on Classic View-> Select Folder Option-> Under General Tab-> Selct select item as follows->Select single click to open item-Click on Apply and then Ok.

Your issue is resolved now.

  1. Click Start keyboar4.jpg , and then click Control Panel.

  2. Click Hardware and Sound.

  3. Click Keyboard.

  4. In the Mouse Properties window:

    • Click the Device Select tab to disable the touch pad.

    • Click the Touch Pad tab to adjust touch pad settings.

  5. Click OK to save the settings and close the window.

could be possible that it needs cleaned

does it move at all you can check settings in control panel and see if you have any settings for mouse

hi, I sugest you plug in a USB mouse that shoud solve your problems for now then go to control Panel > Add and remove and remove the touchpad driver
then download the driver for your system from the Dell website here is a link to your model of dell Laptop mouse driver

Cannot type in window-say keypad loched


Look on the keyboard on the F1-F10 or F1-F12 Keys. There's a lock icon usually there. One would have to use ALT or Fn (Function) key plus that key to turn off. Which one do you have 1525 or 1526?

your touchpad is just one case to sensitive. deactivate it by hitting "fn+ the tuchpad deaktivation key on your keyboard" and get yourself a mouse
