My dynex tv will not come on seems to be stuck in standby mode.

Are the lines always vertical or horizontal? Are they black or multiple colors?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. In standby mode (red led on/after the led stops from blinking), press "Display", "5", Volume (-)", "Power on" on the remote control in sequence, self diagnostic screen will be display, let me know the what is on the screen to diagnose where the fault came from.

Icould use s fix for this too tv use to last more than 3 years no luck for mr

5 times red standby light blinking shows problem with ballast supply board in Sony KDF-E50A10 model tv, ballast supply board provides high voltage to lamp to produce high bright light.
Please check/ replace ballast supply board in tv by local tv repairman.

When I power my Sony lcd 42 inch the red light blinks then I push the power button the green standbye light just continues to blink, any suggestions

Please check batteries in remote that seems not working. Sony TV would either turns On or standby light will blinks if TV gets any internal problem.
You question shows standby light stays On that means TV does not receive power on command from remote.
If standby light is blinking in sequence, let me know how many times it is blinking and also intimate exact model number of TV to find out possible solution.

Depends on how many times it blinks,just count the blinks Example: if it blink 2 times then pauses and blink 5 times then the code would be 25 and so on

I'm having the same problem. My stand-by light blinks 3 times though. The tv clicks as if it is going to turn on, but it never does. Is there a simple solution to this problem?
