These disc have a compatbility issue with a lot of computers and players reading from the dark recording surface .

the solution is simple use memorex cdr that have a mirror type recording surface on back the more reflective the recording surface the easier the media is to read stay away from dark recording surfaces.

How do I clean the laser on a Memorex CD mini stereo with a 3cd changer

It is not even sure your laser is dirty. Perhaps you only have some bad CD's?
Does it also skip, with real music CD's. I mean the ones that are not burned in a computer. Not all self mad disks are good enough to be played and not all players can handle the self produced disks.
The cleaner you could use, is a CD, with a little brush glued on it. Don't try to make one, just buy one.

Have had three game discs destroyed by a deep scratching all the way around the disc...scratch runs the full 360 degree circumference. happens randomly. what is causing this and how can i fix it?

Could be caused by dirt or dust in the actual disc reader assembly for the 360. you can purchase a DVD cleaner disc for cheap from numerous retailers like best buy and walmart. or online.
Here is one I found for cheap on amazon.com with free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Memorex-CD-DVD-Player-Laser-Lens-Cleaner/dp/B00008EM7U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296002431&sr=8-1
If this doesnt work then there may be more serious hardware issues with the dvd drive, you can get it replaced at an authorized repair shop or you can send it in to microsoft.
Hope this helps.

I have a memorex 700MB dvd/cd , i made a video for my family for christmas and ever type i press burn it says disc type mismatch... i need help! please.

You need to use a DVD+R disc or a DVD-R disc to burn a video. It sounds as if you have made a DVD type video and put a CD-R in the slot and your burning software is detecting that and refusing to put the data on the disc, knowing that it wouldn't play on a DVD player.
Look at the front of your dvd drive - if it has a "DVD" symbol with an oblong disc below it and says "-R -RW" then you need to use a DVD-R disc. If it has a symbol of a big "RW" then you need a DVD+R disc. If it has both, then you should be able to use either one.

Black blank CD-R spit out

This is a common problem with certain CDROM and DVDROM drives. The laser is calibrated to work in most conditions but when presented with an off color surface it cannot get through. Only advice I can give is to use only silver bottomed discs.

Won't read mp3 and wma cds

The discs were not "finalized" or "closed" - place the cd's back on your computer cd-rom drive and search the help file of your CD burning software and search for "closing disc" or "finalizing disc." Some programs will allow you to close or finalize after you have already burned them, but others (Sony SoundForge is one exmaple) will not allow it - you may have to re-burn the discs and select the option that says "close disc after finishing" (this option is usually left unchecked by default, because closing or finalizing a disc prevents you from adding any new information to the disc).

BURNING DL DISC WITH NERO

G'Day,

I have the same issue with the LG GSA-H20L and the LG GSA-42N, but mine was with TDK DVDs.

I contacted LG Support and they told me that TDK disks are not recommended for use with their DVD Burners.

I asked them if there were any others they did not reccomend and they said no.

Going through my cupboard, I found Memorex Printable DVD-Rs that will burn OK.

I also tried Sony DVD+R and a generic brand, but they will not burn either.

I also found that these LG drives do not recognise Laser CD-R.

In short, for burning, try either Memorex, LG and some others, but don't try TDK, Sony or Laser.

Good Luck
