Question about Xerox Office Equipment & Supplies

HI, MY XEROX HAS HAD THE TONER LIGHT ON FOR ABOUT 15 MIN. I was making copies fine. Now machine is making a consistent ''clicking'' sound about every 20 seconds, but won't let me make a copy or anything. I tried removing & installing the toner & drum. What can I do to get it operating again?

    Well, my copies are high quality, is there a way to override or reset the copier wanting "new toner" ?



    I know of the Drum override, to reset the error code "J2" but I don't know of the toner problem.

    If you think that it is a toner issue.....



    The copier is making great high quality copies, so I don't really want to change the toner, if I don't have to. ..Is there a code override procedure for it? If yes, what is it?



    I know of the procedure to override & reset the DRUM replacement light, for error code J2.

You tried resetting it by taking out the existing drum and cartridge and reinstalling them? That won't do it. The machine knows the toner is low, and won't work again until a fresh unit is installed.

That isnt unusual. The 8000 pages is for a page with 5 percent coverage area, or a rather short letter.
the 3600 to 4000 pages is not out of the ordinary for that machine, Although the xerox brand may work better, although not more copies, if you run pages with more than 5 percent of the page printed, that is about right.
Also there is no chip on a 4118 cartridge. The toner is monitored by a sensor and window in the middle of the cartridge. It shines light through the cartridge, and when the cartridge is empty the light actuates a light activated sensor.
it is not an efficient machine.

HI, MY XEROX 1045 COPIER has making ""clicking"" sound


That indicates you need to replace the drum cartridge. It's been a while since I supported those products, but I believe the cartridge is in the bottom of the device. Make sure you remove the toner cartridge before tipping it over or you'll have a mess to clean up and won't be able to remove the drum.

Once you replace the drum, you need to reset the copier.

Xerox WCP 416 , it showed message replace drum cartridge


It sounds like you are replacing the toner cartidges NOT the Drum Unit. Drum is located behind the toner cartidge and you will see it after removing toner. Pretty common mistake :)

Xerox XC1020 White Bands running across copied page 4" apart


The metering blades in those cartridges go bad and do not allow the ink to get to the page. Look at the front of the toner cartridge, is should be a solid consistent black all the way across, if its streaky, not consistent all the way across replace the toner.
The other problem could be a dirty laser. If replacing the toner doesnt work let me know, I will tell you how to remove and clean the laser.

three lights are for paper jam, replace toner cartridge and replace dru, cartridge. If there is zigzag line it is paper jam if there are six small dots it is for toner cartridge and if it is one circle it is for copy cartdisge. You can contact me for mfurther support at jagpal_65@yahoo.com

pls check the drum charge grid and toner cardritge. may be the toner is empty or charge and transfer corona wire getin dust.

Can you help us with a copier problem


That sounds like your toner is empty. Sometimes that cartridge runs out or low on ink and just doesn't display.
What is happening is the density sensor is looking for a nice black patch and the patch it is looking for is gray or almost blank and it stays in a constant cycle of trying to make that ink patch dark enough to produce a copy,
I would try a new toner.
