Re: wiring

The brown wire, according to the installation manual, is the "Mute Wire". Their instruction is:
"Connect to the terminal that is grounded when either the telephone rings or during conversation."

So this appears to only be necessary if you are also using a mobile phone with your system.

The orange/white wire is the "dimmer control" lead, which should be wired into the switch that turns your car lights on and off. This will probably allow your head unit to dim when you turn the car lights on (night time).

Hope this helps!

Ouku single din no sound from rca cables

Sorry I did not use the video out RCA cables. My audio RCA cables worked fine... I ran them to my JBL amplifier through a conversion adapter. I did not run it direct to the amp.. I used Metra TYTO-01 03-08 Toyota Vehicles Harness for JBL SYS (Ebay item 160560648718) and it worked great.

Here is the wiring color coding that I found online:

Is the park signal wire supposed to be hooked to the ground side or power side of parking brake switch? I'm trying to install a kvt 512 for a buddy, and the dvd player wont work with out the park signal.

If you want to by-pass the parking brake wire, here's how.
Most wiring harnesses have a solid orage wire for illumination of the radio2_bing.gif and also have an orange wire with a white stripe for dimming purposes. Most radios do not use this dimming feature. Connect the brake wire to this wire and your able to watch your movies whenever you want. All the wire is looking for is a signal. It cannot differentiate between a parking brake signal and a non-parking brake signal.

I have white/brown and white/blue left on wiring harness on dual xdvd 9101 on my factory harness i have the blue and orange wires left

You can download the User Manual (including the wiring diagram), from Anyway the blue/white cable will be +12V, after the 9101 is switched on, and can be used to power a electronic antenna, a motorized antenna, a amp, etc. The white/brown cable can be connected to the reverse light and would automatically open the panel and switch to rear camera operation when the reverse gear is selected. The wires left on the factory harness can be anything. MAYBE the orange wire is the car-light and MAYBE the blue one powers up an antenna-amp. It should be possible to find out the function of these wires investigating the pinout of former conected equipment.
