I tried above solution and now I have no output out of PGBK head when running nozzle check pattern. A lot of ink around edge of nozzle after running deep clean. Other nozzles are working fine. Should I just go ahead and get ned printer head or can it be anything else.

It's manually unclogging.Open the cover and first remove the ink cartridges. Then open the holder and remove the print head.Run hot tap
water and put the print head with the nozzles up to stream water.Hold that 5 mins then turn the print head around with the nozzles down.Hold that for every color of 5 mins. Then put the print head in hot water with the nozzles down.Left it water about 15 mins and then you must very nice to dry. When the print head dry put it in printer and start cleaning. If this not help you need to replace the print head. It's part number is QY6-0062.

Indication is that print heads are clogged. Try several more cleanings, it sometimes takes 5-6 tries. If print heads are bad it's cheaper to buy a new printer.

C45 how to clean nozzels

You can print the print head using the Control Panel buttons;
1. Make sure that the fontp.gif power light is on and that the font28.gif error light is off. 2. Hold down the font28.gif maintenance button for three seconds. The printer starts cleaning the print head and the fontp.gif power light begins flashing. Important - Never turn off the printer while the fontp.gif power light is flashing. Doing so may damage the printer. 3. When the fontp.gif power light stops flashing, print a nozzle check pattern to confirm that the head is clean.

Connected r1800 to mac, print browser page, blinking power light, no printing

Run a nozzle check to see if all inks are printing out. Turn printer off, then hold down the paper button ( top ), while holding it down, press and hold the power button. When you see the power light flashing green, release both buttons. It should print a nozzle check pattern. You should see 7 columns of different colored lines and one checkered board pattern. There should be no gaps and breaks on the lines. If pattern is no good, you need to do head cleaning.Press the ink button for 3 seconds. Power light will flash and print head will move. This will take one to two minutes. After it is complete ( power light turns solid green ) you need to do a nozzle check pattern to verify if there is improvement or If head cleaning needs to be repeated.

if the clogging is worst then the deep head cleaning wont help.the head will need to be cleaned up manually and the waste ink pad in the printer should be cleaned too. this is covered normally in printer servicing.give special instructions to clean the head properly while you hand over the printer for servicing to any local tech. head cleaning and servicing will solve the issue
This will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

I have red lines that go accross the the page. It is inconsistent. Sometimes just the top Qt other time the whole page. Tried nozzel cleaning and new ink.

It is caused by waste ink at bottom plate of head. Print blank pages for cleaning itself. You can clean it by put wet tissue at bottom side of head. Turn off printer, move head to center. Put wet tissue at pad. Move head to parking position. Wait for 15 minutes. Print blank pages for checking.

Printer is only printing one color

possible printhead issue. Cartridges maybe outdated too. If you haven't used the printer in a while, the inks on the nozzles will dry out, thus clogging the printhead nozzles. If your cartridges are installed over 6 months now, it may be outdated. Replace cartridges if they are already outdated.
Do a printer check by printing a nozzle check pattern from the printer. To print a nozzle check pattern, turn the printer off. load 10 sheets of regular paper into your printer. hold down the paper button while you turn the printer on, keep on holding down the paper button. let go of the paper button when the powerlight is already blinking. If there are gaps or missing colors on the nozzle check pattern, please do 3 head cleanings. compare the nozzle check pattern over the last printout. If you see improvement on the pattern, continue cleaning the printhead till you get a perfect nozzle check pattern.
If there are no improvements, your printer may need service.
If your printer is not under warranty anymore, log on to support.epson.com. Click on help me find a service center to the bottom right of the page to find epson certified servicers near to your area.
The printer has a one year warranty from the date of purchase. Pls call epson if your unit is still under warranty.

Bottom half of pgbk band doesn't print

First try doing a deep head cleaning or two; if that doesn't work, try removing the printhead and looking at the bottom of it to make sure there is nothing blocking the small ejection holes on printhead, reinstall the printhead, do the alignment again an that should do it, if not you may need a new printhead.
