I HAVE A SONY BRAVIA LCD. WHEN I TURN IT ON FOR THE FIRST TIME, USUALLY IN THE MORNING, THE PICTURE SEEMS TO BE SPLIT INTO 4 HORIZONTAL SECTIONS. AFTER 5 MINUTES, THE PICTURE CLEARS UP. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM.
I just repaired my Sony with this problem by adding shims under the LED driver board. This board sits over top of the T-CON board and spans the length of the screen. Several conductive pads on the board make a connection between this circuit and the metal frame that runs across the top of it. By adding a slight pressure under the circuit board where the pad resides, it created a better connection and resolved the problem.

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems either the T-con board in your unit has gone bad and/or it is not getting the required 12vdc from the power supply unit. If you have knowledge of internal circuitry of the unit then you can open the back of the unit and check the T-con board which is the last board before the LCD panel. Usually it is available with the LCD Panel. Unfortunately replacing this is only recommended to be done by someone with electrical expertise.
