Question about Toshiba 57H83 57" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Loss of picture and sound

My TV was working fine and then, suddenly I heard a click and lost both picture and sound (the screen is black, not blue or snowy). I have checked and tightened all of my connections. I have unplugged the TV and satellite box and restarted several times. I don't know what else to try. Help!!!

Picture has a blue shadow

Seems convergence out IC is fried in TV so it gives blue shadow.

Check out Convergence Out IC which you need to replace in TV, if you have enough experience of repair of big TV, necessary tools and know basic electronics.
