Problems with Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Aside the power button is an orange blinking light

    I have already checked to see that the cartridges are installed properly, unplugged the printer and replugged it. I did buy refilled ink for the first time. Is there something with the cartridges, ink that may be causing the orange light to come on??

Check to see if the ink cartridges are installed properly, or if there is a paper jam. If not unplug it for 2-3 minutes, and try using it again.

Hi Good day!! Please try to restart your printer spooler..

1. Click "Start"
2. Click "Settings"
3. Click "Control panel"
4. Click "Administrative tools"
5. Click "Services" you should be on services box now.
6. Find "printer spooler" after that click stop and then re enable it. hope your printer works now...

Print head problem


Do a reset:

Dell Printer reset

1. With the power on,unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
2. Disconnect the power supply from the back of the printer.
3. Wait 15 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power supply to the back of the printer.
Plug the power cord back into the wall socket.


Dell Printers

To run a nozzle clean, perform the following steps:
1. Verify the All-In-One Printer 922 is powered on and connected to a computer.
2. Verify that the paper support (input tray) has clean, plain white paper loaded.
3. Press the Menu button.
4. Press the Down button until Mode: Maintenance appears on the LCD screen.
5. Press the Menu button.
The Dell 922 Maintenance Menu appears on the LCD screen.

6. Press the Down button until Clean Cartridges appears on the LCD screen.
7. Press the Start button.
The AIO 922 prints the cleaning page. This process cleans the ink cartridges and resolves many print quality issues.

Blinking red warning light


Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Aio 922 power light constantly blinks on and off, will not turn on/off or communicate with computer.


Try to unplug the power cable as well as the USB cable of your printer for few minutes. Then plug it back in, check the lights again.

From reading other sites, remanufactured cartridges won't reset the ink level of the printer; it must be something Dell sets in their cartridges.

DELL AIO 922- All in one- Printer won't print


Remove the right ink cartridge (color). You will get an error saying the cartridge is empty, but ignore that. Hit cancel on your printer. Print your job...when your print screen comes up, under preferences check the box for print colors in black and white. Your printer should print just fine without the color cartridge. Ignore the flashing red light.

922 All-inOne ink Jet printer doesn't print


Lots of luck. I couldn't even get the printer to load the software or install the hardware. I was helped by Dell's tech support (Dell has one of the best tech support programs that exists, in my opinion) for at least 4 hours without any good results. They sent me a replacement for a replacement and I finally got the printer and the software to show by installing it differently. Now it will not print, and, like you, the light to the power button blinks all the time and the printer states that there is no color cartridge installed, even though I have re-installed the new trial cartridge sent by Dell several times. I am going to purchase a new Canon Printer.
