Turn the tub off and stick your hand down in there to retrieve it if it doesn't float to the top once the tub is turned off.

I have an Easy Set and using a skimmer. Should I remove the extra intake hose?

Huh?
i am confused... What does a hose have to do with the ability of the pump to move water?

Suction of a pump has nothing to do with an extra hose.
Suction ability has everything to do with whether a filter element is clean or dirty!
These toy pumps have an exceptionally SMALL filter, and need cleaning or replacement OFTEN!
The suction action of a pump should not change, with the attachment of a skimmer: unless... The skimmer is higher than it should be and sucks air, therefore the pump will lose prime!
If you comment back with a little more detail, somebody will be glad to assist.

Back firering through intake, can not re install air filter tunnel, becouse oil spout in valve cover in the way.

sounds like your on the right path also make sure the firing order is correct and all vacuum lines are intact. sucking air can be checked with a can of starting fluid.low fuel pressure can cause backfire as well as low voltage.more details on the work that was performed may help diagnose easier

Cannot get pool pump to prime

turn the valve to main intake line (not the skimmer) and flood the pump with as much water as possible.
make sure there are no areas around the seals where air could get sucked in. when you get a full flow switch it to skimmer and main.

What is the round filter like attachment with tons of little holes on the inside my tub and how do i clean it

It is called the suction intake- the pump sucks the water in through the suction intake. It serves as a hair and particle trap (safety device). Some suction intakes can be unscrewed counter-clockwise, others have a round cover that can be popped off with a flathead screwdriver (the cover conceals a philips head screw).

I have no suction at all what do I do?

take all of your filters out then turn it on and see if you have suction.if so the filters are dirty.talke your hose off and blow throughit if you can't the hose is blocked up.also go to the intake hose which is located at the bottom ,it should be kind of clear.it comes up the backside at the bottom.theres a connector it is attached to that is held in be 1 or 2 screws take them out and you should be able to pull it away from the back a little ,take a coat hanger and bend the tip so it is round then work it down into the intake hose and see if you can push the clog out though the bottom .those are the things that will keep it from having suction.try the filters first, then the hose, then the intake hose.good luck

Hi, my sanyo pulse 1500 bagless vacuum has very little suction.

If the vacuum will run without the hose attached, does the suction seem ok at the opening where the hose goes into? If so, then you have a clog in the hose or down below where the dirt is first sucked up. If suction is poor at the vacuum, then check the filters, they go bad after awhile.

Hoover agility wont suck

There are 2 filters and if either one gets clogged, it will not suck up the water. One is from the bottom, it is red, pull it out far enough to clean it. The other one is behind the dirty water tank, remove the tank and you can see it on the wall covering the inlet for the suction. Clean it off, you should have suction now.

Carpet cleaner not doing too well

there is a dial on the side of the housing move this to tools this diverts the suction from the floor nozzle to the hose,. .
the brush only rotates slowly.
If this dose not work check red lint filter, .this is in the back corner of the tank lid ,
On the turbo brush there is a sliding swicth ,this diverts the suction from the nozzle of the attachment to the attachments brush

Suction

Opening that door and attaching the hose will let the suction go thru that hose. So if when you removed the hose, if that door isn't closed tight will cause you to have a suction problem It has to seal and have no leaks. The other thing when be a problem with the recovery tank not sealing when you put it back on. Other then that, any air leak will cause a suction problem.
