Hi, so i have a derbi senda baja 125 wich was running great until i decided to change my air filter to a conic one. Ive made that change and now it loses power on high revs. Can u help me?

Hi, Martim tuning your carburetor is fairly simple once you understand the basic principals. You engine is a simple airbox sucking air in and blowing it out, it is finely tuned at the factory for maximum performance once you upset that delicate balance by changing air filters, camshafts or exhaust systems your performance may go down the and the engine may run poorly, you need to compensate the air-fuel mixture in the carburetor in order for the engine to run smoothly and at peak performance. Here is how and where you compensate trouble:
1. Your air/fuel mixture screw manages your idle.
2.. Your slow speed jet manages 0-1/4 throttle opening.
3. Your jet needle c-clip position manages 1/4-3/4 throttle opening.
4. Your main jet manages 3/4-wide open throttle.
If you are running lean, spark plug electrode color is white, engine runs hot and feels like it is starving for fuel you need to go up on the jet size or move the c-clip down one notch. If you are running rich, spark plug color is black or dark gray, engine runs cool, and bogs down when accelerating you need to go down on jet size or move the c-clip up one notch. When your carburetor is properly tuned for maximum performance your spark plug electrode will be a light tan color like coffee with cream. If you prefer fuel economy over performance you can go down on main jet sizes until a satisfactory level of lower performance is acceptable versus MPH, your spark plug color will be whiter and your engine will run warmer. These tuning adjustments will only make improvements if your intake and exhaust system have no air leaks or sealing issues and the entire electrical system is in proper working order and you have no mechanical issues. Good luck and have nice a day.

Little heat coming out of vents.

IF YOU CAN'T FEEL THE AIR FLOW OUT BUT YOU HEAR THE BLOWER MOTOR WORKING, BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX IS A CABIN FILTER.REPLACE FILTER
IF YOU HAVE GOOD AIR FLOW BUT NO HEAT:
1;VACUUM LEAKING TO HEATER CONTROL
2;WATER PUMP GOING BAD / NOT CIRCULATING COOLANT,HIGH RPM/MORE COOLANT TO THE HEATER CORE
3;OPEN THERMOSTAT/ENGINE TEMPERATURE TO LOW
1;CHANGE THE DIRECTION FROM VENTS TO FLOUR TO WINDSHIELD. IF NOTHING HAPPEN IS THE VACUUM
2;RUN THE ENGINE INSIDE ON WARM PLACE ON IDLE.NOTE THE GAUGE IF PAS 1/2 TO 3/4. IF PAS 3/4 MARK REPLACE WATER PUMP
3;IF GAUGE STAY BELOW 1/2 REPLACE THERMOSTAT
GOOD LUCK

No heat when vehicle hits running temp

NO year Wangler makes this hard..... no year, no joy. sorry/

engine at 180F and holding, that is step 1
step 2 is, the blower fan runs on high, at full speed
yes/no?
and last , if the heater core is hot (feel it)
then the dampers are wrong.
on my 08 i feel the 2 hoses on the core as they pass through
the fire wall, are they roasting hot (180F)
then if air passes through the core, said air must get hot.
if you feel nothing at vents, in all modes, the main TEMP. damper
is stuck closed, (this is the red and blue knobs)

the 10steps that work on any car, they all have a heat exchanger.

Computer slow and over heating

on a dektop on a laptop focus on the keyboard
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making very sure there is no MOISTURE in the airline focusing on the central processing unit CPU making sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems then
you could run the check disk utility
click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which willscan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive

hope this helps

Blower not running at high rpm when full throttle. Cleaned air filter, gas vent, gas filter and spark plug. Blower is 3 years old. Have not bought any new replacement parts.

Try removing the muffler and look inside of the exaust port, you should be able to see the piston in the full opening of the port. If you can, try starting and running at wide open throttle. If it runs fine( a bit loud, so wear hering protection), then you have a plugged or partialy blocked muffler or spark arestor. Sometimes rich mixture can cause excessive carbon build up.

Hope this was helpfull.

How to put in a thermostat for a 2000 oldsmobile silhouette

ok this is the best way i found to do these
1 drain the coolant
2 remove the air snorkle fron the trottle body to the air box
3 disconnect the heater bypass pipe that runs across the front valve cover
there is a 8mm bolt and a 13mm nut at the trottle body remove the hose at the front and the 2 at the trottle body
4 disconnect the throttle cabe and cruise control if equiped remove the wiring the TPS IAC then remove the throttle body bolts 13mm CAREFULLY REMOVE THE TROTTLE BODY AND THE GASKET SHOULD BE OK TO REUSE if it tears replace it
5 now you have acess to the thermostat remove the rad hose
6 there are 2 13mm bolts the top one remove all the way the bottom one has a slotted hole remove about 80%
remove the thermostat housing
7 replace the thermostat
8 REASSEMBLE IN REV.ORDER and the O RING SEALS lube with a silicone grease
9 after the vehicle is all assembled LOOSEN AIR BLEED SCREW ON THE BYPASS PIPE
10 refill cooling system till coolant FLOWS OUT THE AIR BLEED IN A STREAM CLOSE THE AIR BLEED
11 top up coolant and coolant over flow bottle
USE ONLY GM DEXCOL if you need to add some IT IS ORANGE IN COLOR
12 start vehicle and adjust your heater controls to HOT AND MODE TO VENT let vehicle run till AIR COMING OUT OF VENTS IS HOT not just warm that will insure there is no air locks in cooling system
hope this was help full

I have a craftmens 25 cc weedwacker thats about 3

it sounds like your carb is out of adjustment and you need to adjust it. Look at the carb on your weedwacker, there is an idle adjustment screw somewhere on it and using either phillips or strait screw head and then carefully turning it clockwise go 1/8 of a turn at a time until the engine idles smoothly.

Leaf blower will not run good. Only runs at full chike or half ch

If the trimmer is more than 3 to 4 years old, you may want to replace the carburetor parts, (new carb. kit). It also depend on the amount of use.
If it is newer than that, then you will need to disassemble the carb. and spray with carb. cleaner. Make sure that the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. Use a Den tek Brush,
(http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. Reassemble and start.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

2001 ford taurus will not idle down

several things can do this but most likely would be
1 TPS trottle postion sensor = replace
2 stuck butterfly valve inside the trottle body = clean out with trottle body cleaner try to get most of the black build up with a old tooth brush
3 bad trottle cable= feel the cable make sure it moves freely if not replace it
