Question about Sony KP-61HS10 61" Rear Projection Television
I have a Sony KP61HS10 that has a convergence issue. At first it was just when the unit was first turned on the issue was bad but as it warmed up everything aligned and looked great. It has steadily declined though and even leaving the TV on and auto adjusting the picture it now strains the eyes cause the convergence is off and makes it difficult to read the guide without minor discomfort.... the local service companies are wanting 79.95 to walk in the door plus $250 labor plus $100 parts to start...
Anyone know if it would just be 2 convergence IC's like I am reading and if so does anyone have a service manual for this unit?
Thanks in advance
Http://www.schematicsforfree.com/archive/ for the schematics.
I alsp have this issue and have adjusted the convergence to get it correct when the unti warms up. For the first 10 minutes it is pretty far off. then slowly comes together. I am very interested in finding a solution, so please post one if you find it. we all seem to have tghe same issue.. maybe a cold solder join on the A or D board?
