Question about Microwave Ovens
If everything is running normally except that the food does`nt warm up then you can assume that in 90% of the case, your magnetron is faulty.
Now the price of a new magnetron would run around $40 to $60 depending on the model and power. If you are handy with a screwdriver you can replace it yourself, it is a pretty straightforward job, otherwise a repair shop may charge you $90 or so. If you think its worth it then your microwave should run as good as new afterward.
hope this will help Good luck

Sounds as though your Magnetron is not working.
This is the heating part of the microwave and in most cases is not easily accessible.
You may unplug the microwave and if you have a exhaust type microwave then there is screws either on top or in the front that allow you to remove this section, and once removed you can remove the screw on top of the controller, which gives you access to the fuse and fan and electric components inside.
Make sure noting is melted and smell to make sure nothing smells burnt.
In most cases, if it is the Magnetron then between labor and parts you almost better off to purchase a new microwave.
