My gogear is no detected

Mines is not detected in my pc

It started when i was transferring music to it.It was doing fine then it turned into system error where the screen was white. I tried solving that problem but it just got worse. Now it doesn't start up. I turn it on it just stays at the Philips screen and at the bottom it says "www.philips.com/welcome". I tried resetting it but it doesn't work. I connected it to the computer to attempt to solve it but it jsut stays at that screen. so i do not know what to do, either its fixable or i should return it. thank you if you can help with this problem.

My philips gogear mix 2gb,no power and no detected in computer what is the couse of them?

There is a small tiny hole which is the RESET to the player Use a small office pin to pres and hold as the processor will reset . Also remove or uninstall the gogear on the PC and restart. Now connect the go gear and it will be detected as a new hardware and installed. If not there are errors on the player and to confirm test it on another PC.

How to connect the philips to the pc

First you need to download software for your player.

You can download from the link given below:

GoGear Software

Install the softwares downloaded in the above link.

Connect one end of USB cable to pc and another end to GoGear Vibe player.
Software will detect the player and follow online instructions to carry out your purpose for connecting the player to pc.

How to delete songs off the player

Connecct your gogear to the PC, Once the gogear is detected, click the link on your my computer.. will be shown as the new drive.Now click on this and open. All tthe files on the ggog ear will open.
You can choose and oopen so play or return and delete after confirmation.
repeat the procedure for all the files you want to delete off.
Loading can be the same way but media files need the assistance off the media convertor software which comes with gogear.

It is a small blue GoGear mp3 player it is all buttons bu the pc cant detect it

Try turning the power on before you connect it to your pc, also, sometimes MP3 players need to charge for a while before the computer will recognize them.

Media converter not detecting GoGear

I finally figured out my problem. The program, Bonjour, had been removed from my computer. I reinstalled it at Apple downloads and my player is working just fine again. Here's the link, hope it helps you.

Device manager wont detect my gogear HDD1630/17 even though i recently updated the software and driver, also my device is frozen on "Please connect player to pc". I can't even get it back to the menu...

I was experiencing this similar problem, and from my research so were alot of other people, what finally worked for me was this:

  • Update all the software on your computer via Phillips site
  • Open the Philips Device Manager
  • With the device connected and the 'connected to pc' screen showing on the GoGear, do a 'soft reset' by holding the Power Off + Volume Up buttons for a few seconds
  • As soon as the device restarts itself, hold the Volume Down button, the computer should now recognize the GoGear
  • Follow the onscreen directions to Repair the device
  • Thank the intarwebs.

Philips GoGear Mp3 player problem

Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).
