It was a "refilled" cartridge and not a new cartridge. For some reason the refilled cartridge was empty after being filled recently. Not sure why or how. A new replacement cartridge fixed the problem.

Hp 1510 works but prints blurry sometimes i already aligned it. what do i need to do to fix this?

Hi,
As you are getting blurry pictures sometimes while printing, there are few steps that I would like you to proceed with in order to resolve the issue:
  1. The heads are possibly dirty and you can clean them yourself with rubbing alcohol and a cloth that wont leave any fuzzies.

  2. Also check for the printer cartridge as it might be running low as well.

I am pretty much sure that as you have check the aligned the printer, the above steps should be good enough to keep you going.

Please rate me on the level of assistance provided.

Will not print black , HP PSC 1610 All-in-One

Is it a new genuine cart? If so, I have had this problem. Run multiple copies of black only text, Run 50 copies, will still spit out blank pages. Then head clean. If no black repeat. I did this for around 200-250 copies then Volia! black. Hope this helps

Test printing made every time when the machine (HP PSC 1510) turned on.

Hi,

I used to have the same problem with the 1510 and other HP models. The solution is not to have any paper in the tray when you turn it on. When the error flashes up, hold the cancel/resume button (it will be flashing orange on the printer) until all activity ceases in the printer. You can then cancel the message on the PC and load the paper when you are ready to print.

My HP printer PSC 1510 All-in-One no longer asks me to align my ink cartridges after a change of cartridges. Now, after a system recovery, it prints an alignment page every time I turn it on, whereas...

The only way to stop this is to press the cancel button, just as it tries to print the test page.

Various people have said the printer won't align (calibrate) successfully unless both ink cartridges are more than 50% full, and until it aligns successfully, it will continue to print the test page on start-up.

It is a total waste of ink and paper, so remember to hit the cancel button when you turn it on.

Won't print - just flashes it's lights at me!

I tried what phrek said (" Pressing the flashing buttons simultaneously, evokes the printer to spit out an internal diagnostic page ..."), but after the diagnostic page printed out the printer worked fine again.

Thanks for the help, and hopefully things work out for the rest of you as well.
