3 flashes is the combustion pressure switch . Mounted on the front mid high. Two silicone hoses run to it along with blue two wires. By now you have probaly got this fixed though.

If you haven't learned yet, there is probably a diagnostic cheat sheet stuck to the blower door, it should tell you what three flashes means.....If it is no flame/failed ignightion, your most likely suspect will be a carbide ignightor (you'll have to test for 120 volts with a multi-meter at the ignightor during the ignightion cycle). If three blinks calls for a pressure switch issue then you will probably want to make sure your drain lines are all clear to the flue system (90% furnaces are condensating furnaces as the water must drain out of the flue, inducer housing and combustion chamber, otherwise it will not draft properly giving you a "combustion pressure switch" failure)

Doesn't sound like the furnace is lighting 3 flashes is no flame or ignition fail.

I had the exact same issue and replaced the control circuit board, igniter, flame sensor, and thermostat just to discover the real problem was a rusted out Roof Jack. (The exhaust pipe that goes through the roof. The inner fresh air pipe was rotted out so the furnace was sucking exhaust gases in which would not support combustion. Have your's checked.

From what you say, I would CLEAN the thermocoupler with either steel wool or a green scouring pad (dry) and then wipe off the residue with a clean cloth. If you still have trouble then it could be a gas valve that is sticking.

Here is a link to the Owners Manual for your Dura Heat Model DFA-125 forced air kerosene heater.
In addition to how to properly operate it and perform routine maintenance, it has a trouble shooting guide, which should be of great assistance.

You can download and print this manual for future reference.

I have a Dayton 3E366B hanging my garage, and it starts up -lights the burners - the fan kicks on, and then it shuts off... This cycle goes on and it does not run for long times to really get the heat up....

No I do not believe it is your thermocouple, as that only detects heat from the pilot light and permits the gas valve to open and have main flame ignition. I would be looking at thermostat placement, and safety limits built in to the heater. Making sure that the thermostat is not getting a straight on blast of hot air from the heater is my first guess. Try jumping out the thermostat by first removing the thermostat from it's housing and placing a jumper between the red and white wires as they are usually the control for heat. If your heater stays running it is the thermostat. If not you now have to trouble shoot all safety limits one at a time with a volt ohm meter and run continuity tests the limits should read closed except for the fan high limit it should read open until the temperature of the heat exchanger reaches it's set temperature. Remember to power down your unit when trouble shooting please.

The fan limiting switch is acting up. It should stay running until lower temp is reached. It will cycle until the temp stays below or at the low setting. Limit switches are adjustable.

Air bag sensor keeps flashing

If a concern is detected, the air bag control module will communicate by flashing the warning indicator. A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is logged by the air bag control module in a nonvolatile memory. For additional information, refer to Diagnosis and Testing in this section.

Colman Furnace keeps kicking on & off

Denise, my heater not a coleman (a monitor heater (oil) kept turning off when the temp got really cold. I would advise you to ask if you can do this, I addded an additive to my drum outside which holds the fuel. Because the deisel thickens up when it gets cold, which makes the heater have a harder time distributing the fuel to the heater. So far the heater has not kicked off.

DO NOT attempt to repair this yourself. LP gas is a very unforgiving gas. Sounds like your heat exchanger is plugged. Yes it can be removed and checked, BUT it is not recommended. Trust your local repair tech. Any heater 15+ years old should be discarded.
