Whenever I try to put in a CD it spits it straight out again, it will not even suck it in first. I've tried several CDs, and I am sure it is neither that I have inserted the disc iincorrectly or upside down, or that there is already a disc in the machine - the two troubleshhoting suggestions in the manual.
If you can't suggest anythnig simple, who might be able to fix this sort of thing, and will it have to go back to the manufacturer?

HI, this is optical lens assembly failuer. you will need to send this unit in for a optical lens replacement procedure. this procedure is costly and, you will need to ship it as well to the manufacture for this repair.
The actual issue is the lens is unable to track due to the assembly failuer(load/tracking motor malfunction).
You may be able to contact a local tech that will be able to order this assembly and repair it locally for you. this is unlikely but, its cheaper than sending it off.
Mabye. I would suggest either opening the unit up and cleaning thr "laser" (optical pickup) with a q-tip. Or try using one of those cleaning cds that have the little cleaner fabric on the inderside...
if that doesent work something is most like wrong with the cd machanism wether its not spinning the cd or just not reading it due to a defective laser..
