D-300 and d-340 mixers dont use oil they use grease -47 can be bought @any hobart office. there are several reasons why this problem can happen. try tighning the planetary nut all the way then back off 1/4 TURN .also do the same with the top main shaft nut if that doesnt work contact me back

My D-300 runs good in two speeds. I have had the gear case apart and see no damage at all. In third speed the gear is popping upward away from the clutch that engages it. It runs but makes a thumping sound.I physically pushed the gear tree back into position and it ran great. Tried it again and the gear popped up away from the clutch again.

I'm think the bronze bearing in the gear could be worn. Any suggestions???

Could be that a gear is missing (broken) on the shaft that works the 1st gear. Check out the schematic at

http://www.food-equipment.com/parts_Hobart_mixers.htm

It could be the gear HM2-748

My Hobart D300 mixer appears to be leaking oil/grease

Hi,I'm a hobart tech and repair these mixer's often. If you see oil in the drip cup then the center shaft seal in the transmission is worn.If there is oil near the transformer then the motor shaft seal is also bad.Hobart doesnt release their service manuals to the public but if you go to their site www.hobartcorp.com you can register for free and get a parts manual thats helpful. If you need help with the repair let me know,i can step you through it.

A200-T Hobart Mixer 1st speed have no torque

Check the spring pin that locks the motor shaft to the main drive gear in the gear box. You should be able to turn the motor from the back at the cooling fins and watch the shaft spin in the gear, that is if the pin is sheared. That is a common problem. if you plan on keeping this machine for a while, i recomend that you spend a little more on a quality spring pin,

mechanictony-
good luck.

CE is the marking that shows its european conformant.  I think the difference is mostly in terms of the no volt interlock switch.  This means the KA style N50 bowl won't work with the CE models - too low.
