My KitchenAid dishwasher is about 15 yrs old. It has started leaving the glasses dirty looking and cloudy. Additionally, the coffee cups sometimes don't look clean.
There is a new product out that will solve this problem once and for all. It is called the dishwasher filtration system. It is a small filter that goes under the sink and removes the hradness from your water before it enters the dishwasher. You will not have to worry about any clogged arms anymore and your dishes will look amazing. it is very affordable and works like a charm. get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com.
If there is not enough water, the dishes will not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).
Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.
**Water temperature Note***
To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.
Concerning the Film, or cloudy look after the wash cycle.
This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner. There are a few out there, Try Dishwasher Magic.
