Try using CCleaner to clean out any **** that would slow it down (it's free just google it) and then do a virus scan. (google AVG free if you don't have a virus scanner) This should help, if it's still slow, then get rid of a few programs that you don't need.

first try doing disk cleanup. this will delete any unnecsessary files. then do a disk defrag this will insure that all your sectors and files are in the right order. also run a virus removal to insure that there is no viruses in you system. also get a good anti virus to insure that your protected.

Yes, you can get (any) help. You must run a Registry Cleaner. It will clean your Windows registry which seems to be having irrelevant entries. You can down load one free from www.download.com or you can search google for free registry cleaners. I had the same problem and my laptop used to take over 20 mins to boot. I cleaned it with one RC and now it gallops like a new laptop. I do not think that you have any hardware problem.
