Make sure it is turn on under the wireless tab on the router. If is try changing number, your and your neighbor can be sharing same channel number. That happen to me.

I have a nokia lumia 625 and it does not pick up 5ghz wifi, any clues. It picks up 2.4ghz ok.

You can only get higher than 2.4ghz from your router if you are using a ''wireless N'' router and your phone must be wireless N capable. The fact that you are asking this question, probably means your phone is capable of ''N'' reception, but your router is not ''N'' compliant. You are probably using a ''B'' and/or ''G'' type router, which would definitely only transmit at 2.4ghz. // By the way, even ''N'' can be transmitted at 2.4ghz. The ''ghz'' isn't as important as whether or not the router can transmit ''N'' wifi frequency. You can tell by the download speed. ''B'' & ''G'' won't transmit faster than 54gb per second. The ''N'' speed is upwards of 100gb per second. All three (''A'', ''B'' & ''N'') can be transmitted at 2.4ghz if that is the router's rating. The ghz is not really about ''speed''. It is about the fact that many wireless devices (such as landline telephones) transmit at 2.4ghz, which can interfere with the router's 2.4ghz signal. So, using a router that transmits at 5ghz won't have interference issues with other 2.4ghz wireless equipment. // In short, what matters is that your wireless ROUTER transmits with the ''N'' version of wifi.

Can the HP Pavilion 763n PC Desktop use a wireless router?

Your computer has a "built-in" 10/100BT network connection integrated on the motherboard but to go wireless you'll have to add either a PCI (internal) or USB (external) wireless network adapter to transmit/receive the signal from your wireless router. Think "walkie-talkie" here with the wireless router installed AFTER the modem (phone line outlet needed) located in a central area of your home and transmitting/receiving to the individual wireless network adapters that must be separately installed in each computer.

The Airlink AWLC5025 Wireless-G cardbus Adapter doesn't find any wireless networks from a dlink router-n.

This could be a problem with the router not transmitting the SSID or the air card not detecting the signal being transmitted by the router. Check that your router actually supports the G format. If it does check that the router is transmitting the SSID, Your network name, on any channel except 6 or 10 if that is an option. Finally, test the Air Card with a different router, If it is not working with a different router it could be the Air Card that is faulty.

If the router is not transmitting signal the best thing to do here to correct the problem is to reset and and reconfigure the router, to reset it press and hold the reset button of the router for 10 seconds while power is ON and then after that power it OFF for 10 seconds and reconfigure it back.......

1. Try a power cycle / reset of the router, if it is not transmitting signals 2. If your computer is not getting signals at all, ( not even your neighbor's ) , try uninstalling the wireless card and installing it again 3. Make sure you the wireless switch in your computer turned on
Thanks Ranjit

Netgear wireless router wgr614 not transmitting

Yes changing channel will make a diffeence most of the time for this kind of issue. The reason is there could be multiple routers or interference in that area locking to the same frequency.

To transmit wify signal by which type of machine nd how to make it

What do you mean?
To transmit WiFi signal you need a wireless router and then you need wireless adapters.
The router may be issued by your Internet Service Provider but the adapters you will need to buy.
The adapters plug into all the devices you are trying to make wireless and they will communicate with the wireless router
When you install the wireless router you will make a WEP or WAP key...write it down and keep it handy as you will need to enter it accurately in all your devices

Problem connecting wireless to a Netgear MR314

Login to router and change the wireless channel on which the router is transmitting wireles signals.

Pretty old router that you have. Ugrade your router and stay tension free with the newer routers as they work fine and have low downtime.
