My sansa wont load. it shows the sansa startup screen screen but before it loads to the music screen it goes blank then starts all over again. i tried a manual reset by putting it on hold and holding down the record and power button. this made the device go into reset mode i connected it to my computer and i installed the firmware but when i went to restart it, the same thing keeps happening.
Once you have it in recovery mode, create a file called "sansa.fmt" and put in on "16mb" (Which is what your sansa shows up as in My Computer when it is in recovery mode). Once you have put the file on the "16mb" disconnect the cable and allow the device to restart unlocking it before it boots back up.

Please download the drivers to the PC, then convert the media to be loaded to the sansa and it will play on the sansa. Please remove all the files from the sansa players and reload them and this must solve the issue.
1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode) 2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version 3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)
if that doesnt fix your problem try this...
1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable 2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore 3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties 4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will work again
Plug it into the computer (the cord you would use to charge it and transfer files), and hold down the power button for at least 15 seconds. The Sansa should then begin to turn on and start charging. :)
