Question about Sanyo DS24425 24" TV
My Sanyo DS24425 TV failed yesterday. I am a ham radio operator and have noticed, after transmitting on the 40 meter band, I have to unplug the TV for about 10 seconds before it will turn on again. I try to remember to unplug the TV set before operating on 40 meters but yesterday I forgot. I have tried placing an RFI filter in the 120 VAC power lead and a large ferrite core over the coaxial cable at the input but the problem persisted.
I tried twice pushing the "reset" button on the remote, as the owners' manual suggests. When turning on the TV I can hear a relay click inside but get no picture and only very faint sound. When the TV is turned off, a dot of light briefly appears on the screen. Other than that brief bit of light, the screen shows no raster.
Does anyone have any ideas?
