Blower motor not coming on for electric heater

Talk about a misnomer? Electric heat works way diff than gas heating. On electric heat multiple strips and a fan of course. But if they all come on at the same time then the breaker would trip so they use a sequencer for that job. Gas heat uses a bi-metal probe which twists around and turns the fan on when the temp reaches 110 in the plenum. Yall either have a bad fan or capacitor OR the thang that turns the fan on ain't doin it.

Electric furnace will not turn off

Your sequencer is stuck. A sequencer uses a small coil to warm up the switch so that it will turn the electrical elements on one at a time instead of all at once. If they all come on at once the amp draw would throw the breaker. It is also desired to have warm air come out of the vents when the fan comes on. So how do they do it? With a sequencer:
A sequencer can have up to 4 stacks depending on the amount of coils are in the heater. Each coil on average has a value of 5000 watts. So what ya want to do is turn on a coil then after 30 seconds another coil then after 30 more seconds the fan and maybe another coil depending on your furnace size.
So in your case what is wrong? The sequencer bimetal disc inside it is jammed in the on position and therefore the heater stays on until you tun the breaker off. Replace the sequencer and party on!

Here is a page on sequencers that also features rewiring of an electric furnace

have you checked fuse to bulb some electric heaters have a fuse for bulbs and fans so it might be a small inline fuse that you need to change

I've got a Dayton 3E369 Unit heater. The electric

Sounds like it has a bad fan switch wich is no more than a small circular bi-metal switch that expands when heated closing a switch. Get a parts breakdown off the net. I am sure you could find the switch in your area and replace it yourself.

I want to install (bathroom) an electric wall insert fan heater on an outside wall. Will the insulation and plastic vapour barrier be an issue???

Depends on the heater/fixture. All devices of this sort list minimum clearances between sides and combustable materials.

As to will insulation be a problem, depends what you call a problem. Will it need to be removed? Most likely yes if for no other reason then to provide cavity/freespace to install the heater. For a exterior wall application a small baseboard electric heater would be a better solution to the problem or a toekick electric heater under a sink vanity.

I have a small Truck Camper and want an electric

One of those small ceramic units is compact and would do the job for a truck camper. They have fans built in and are pretty quiet. They are cheap and don't take up valuable space. I would look in a BigLots or close out type store.

No heat but fan works L5600

If you can see any sign of a crack in the coil (Hot Surface Ignitor/HSI) it is probably bad.
If the inducer fan starts (the small fan) and you don't see the ignitor glow, it is almost definitely the ignitor.
Hope this helps
