Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

WE are a very small non-profit and can't afford a tech to come in and fix it right now. I purchased a used Cannon NP 6030 and I made one copy fine. Then the error message ''E010 Turn copier off and then on''. After several attemps, I made sure there isn't a jam in it, I opened every door and paper drawer there is to verify this, and have turned it on and off several times and even unplugged it a couple of times. PLEASE can anyone help me? Up a creek without a paddle :>) Thanks so much!

There are several things to try for the E10 error. E10 indicates " main motor lock, main motor rotation sensor, main board". It's a general fault which can be caused by

  • Dirty Corona wire
  • Dirty Drum
  • Dirty Optics on mirrors/glass
These would be the first things to try. After that, you're looking at a bad main board. Hope you find this answer to solve your problem.

I have a cannon 6030 copier in my office that is not serviced anymore. I recently changed the toner, following all the directions from the manual. Now It only copies blank pages. It has no other error...

manually jam the paper & see if there is any images on your drum. if no image is there, problem will be in your primary charging. Corona wire may be broken repair it.

if there is image on your drum check if your transfer is ok. replace your transfer corona wire

I want to download technical support manual for canon np 6030 what should i do?

you can do a search online to see if there is someplace that sells the service manual for the NP6030 and purchase it from them. other than that i don't know of any other way to get a copy of it of if there is even a pdf file for the service manual for that machine. It is a analog copier and has been out of service for a long time

What is a fixing web on a cannon 6551 Black and white copier

The Fixing Web is a roll of oil impregnated fabic that sits on top of the upper fixing roller. Its purpose is clean the fixing rollers between copies. It lasts somewhere around 250,000 copies. Needs to replaced by a service tech and have the counter reset. If the Web runs out you get a E-005 error code.

When you open the front door and release handle and pull out the Paper Transport fixing assembly. The Web is under the yellow cover on the left side.

Copies fine on bottom, but fade to nothing at top

Could be one of many things. Possible new transfer roller - make sure the transfer roller is not jammed.

Check the developer roller (at exit from toner hopper), to see if it is rotating properly. Check all connections to/from drum and transfer rollers.

This is most likely a dev unit problem. Not sure if dev/hopper and transfer are all in one unit - if so, replace the lot, or you'll be chasing one problem after the other.

Error U3 on a Sharp AR-5132 Copier

The problem is on the mirror section on the scanner unit. It might be the motor, sensor, scanner wire or just need lubricating. I think you better call your local tech.

Minolta copier SN 312039

Basicly, a Cob71 deals with the toner bottle. Have you replaced it resently? try to take it out again and let the copier warm up to ready and reinstall the toner bottle back in. See what happens... Also, it helps if we know what mode it is for more info.

Canon NP 6025 Main switch is broken, can't find parts.

I've bought a switch for a np 6030 ( even though they said it was not made anymore) canon uses the same parts for several of their machines. You can find the switch on this site where I got mines http://www.precisionroller.com/

you will have to go to the next closest model, I think I bought a 6035 or 6045 switch. worked fine.

Now you MUST realize that the switch turning off is a safety device and acts as a fuse. If it's not staying on it's because there is a problem most likely with your fuser.
