Question about Dell 1720dn Laser Printer

Open Question

I'm getting en extra page printing out that says only "EOJ" on it. How do I make the printer stop doing that? The printer is a Samsung SCX-4725FN and I just recently reinstalled the driver - this started happening after that.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: How do you scan with Samsung SCX-4725fn?

You can go to Samsung.com and get an operators manual, but all you do is connect via USB to your computer and have scanning software running. When you press scan a window should pop up with choices of how to scan and where to save the scanned image.

SOURCE: eoj problem

I know this is an old post, but I still feel it will help to post my solution in case anyone else has this problem. I deleted the Samsung 4725fn PCL6 driver from each computer and added a Universal Print Driver from the Samsung website locally to each PC that connected to this printer via the network. So far, the Universal Driver has solved the End Of Job (EOJ) page from printing after each print job. Hopefully this will help someone else.

SOURCE: 1600n Printing an Extra Page everytime...

I had a computer experiencing the same problem.
I found under the printer properties that there was 2 drivers listed; both say "Dell Laser MFP 1600n PCL 6"
I swtiched the settings from one to the other.
The Printing Preferences also show more options.

  • Open the Printer(Control Panel->Printers>Dell MFP 1600n)
  • On the menu at the top click Printer->Properties
  • Click the tab at the top Labeled Advanced
  • Change the driver and Click Apply
This should fix your problem.

Locate and check the printer drum. You should be able to see the mark that is causing the line on your page. It could be s scratch or a ring of toner that the wiper is not picking up because a nick or something under it. Try cleaning the drum with a very soft dry cloth and inspect it again. If the mark is still there the drum will have to be replaced. Do Not Try To Clean The Drum With Any Type Of Solvent!

Last page when I print is a blank page with the text EOJ on the top left side. How do I get around that?

I posted this on a separate inquiry, but I feel it benefits to post twice. I deleted all the Samsung SCX 4725fn PCL6 drivers from the computers using the printer and loaded in from Samsung's website a Universal Print Driver. This took care of that pesky EOJ page and the print jobs come out great. Good luck!
