Question about D-Link AirPro DI-764 Wireless Router
A little over a year ago I purchased two Siemens speedstream 6300 Gateway units through an auction house. However they came with no drivers or updates, and although I have found drivers for it. I can't access the unit (http//speedstream) to set channels to access it wirelessly.I would like to use this to configure my wireless network. Do I need a firmware update and where can I get one? Also I have trying to link this to my existing SMC ADSL modem, and it works as a bridged device but does not allow any devices to connect to it. Any advice would be appreciated.
Heres what I would do. Plug the speeedstream in, reboot the computer. Now we need to find your "Default Gateway" (the IP address of your speedstream). In windows XP:
type IPCONFIG (enter)
you will now have some information on your screen, look for the "default gateway" Enter this number in the address bar and you should be directed toward the speedstream configuration page.
(If its anything like the Speedstreem 6520 you will go to the "Home Network" option and then you will see wireless.)
Hope this helps!
