GIVE THE AMP ITS A SEPERATE POWER SUPPLY. CHANCES ARE IF YOU CUT INTO THE POWER IN THE BACK OF RADIO -- 1 ITS NOT A BIG ENOUGH WIRE TO SUPPLY THE AMP/.

    2. IT WILL GIVE YOU ENGINE NOISE'
    3 YOUR PROBSABLY POPOPING FUSES
.RUN A WIRE FROM THE BATTERY PREFERBLY A 10 GAUGE OR LOWER POWER CABLE BUT MAKE SURE YOU USE A PROPER FUSE AT THE BATTERY . FUSE SIZE DEPENDS ON AMPS POWER.MAKE SURE YOUR GROUND WIRE WHICH YOU WILL COONEC BY THE AMP TO THE CHASSIS.IS AS BIG IF NOT BIGGER THEN 12+12+ WIRE

THE THIRD WIRE FROM THE AMP IS A REMOTE SWICH WQHICH YOU CONNECT TO TYHE BACK OF THE RADIO'S REMOTE WIRE OR POWER ANTTNNA WIRE ( USUALLY YELLOW ,OR BLUE,BUT DONT MIX IT UP WITH A ILLUMINATIN WIRE.I NEVER HEARD OF A P40 PIONEER HEAD UNIT
WAT AMP DO U HAVE ?
    HOW MANY OHMS?
ARE YOU USING RCA FROM THE AMP TO THE RADIO?IS IT A LOW INPUT AMP /??
DOES THE RADIO HAVE RCA JACKS OR WIRES?
    GOT PICS?
THE 40,60,80 ARE JUST CROSS OVWER FREQUENCIES .DEPENDING ON HOW YOU WANT YOUR BASS TYO SOUND.THEY WILL HAVE NO IMPACT ON YOUR CONNECTION PROBLEM

I have a fusion sub and amp and have no instructions on how to wire this can somone please help ive got green wires red wire and a small thin blue wire

Hello nicole_murra,

The green wires are for signal input to the included amp and should be connected to a pair of RCA preamp outputs on your head unit. The thin blue wire connects from "remote" on the amp to a switched 12V output on the head unit (usually blue or blue/white). The red wire is for power and goes through the fuse to positive battery. You also need to connect the amp terminal marked "ground" to the metallic chassis of your vehicle, within a distance of about 1/2 meter or less. There's usually a short piece of wire with black insulation included in most amp wiring kits. If your Fusion sub did not come with such a wire, you can use any wire that is the same gauge (or bigger) than the red power wire.

Hope this helps.

Most likely the RCA's are running from the sub out on the deck to the amp. You need to run two sets of RCA's for a 4 channel amp. One for the sub out and one to the front or rear channel.

Hope this helps.

Most likely one of your subs are blown, or the Ohm's are too low for the ampliphier. Try hooking up one speaker at a time to the amp and see if it does the same thing. If it shuts off on one of the two speakers, that speaker is most likely blown.

Can't fit subwoofer amp leads to pioneer DEH-2000MP Head unit

pioneer head units only distribute like 200 rms or so to the speakers. you might have to find a blue maybe even blue with white striped wire and nick it just enough to tie your amp wire around it. tape it up and see if it works.

Phoenix Gold Xenon 1200 mono not pushing subs and making noise.

This sounds like a problem with the head unit output to the sub amp. Are you using a Pioneer head unit? If so, you may have a problem with some surface mounted fuses inside the radio on the main board. Certain Pioneer head units have a common problem with these fuses blowing. They are fuses for the ground on the RCA outputs.

Let me know if this is the case, and if it is I can give you the part number of these fuses and tell you where they are located, but you would need good soldering skills to replace them. Also let me know what model number your head unit is.

Thanks,

Dave

Soundstream300 amp how do I hook it up to my pioneer head unit

That depends on which wires you are referring to. High level inputs or low level (RCA) outputs? If you are thinking about trying to wire the amp up to your Pioneer direct, ie; running the power and ground off of the factory harness, think again, you'll fry your electrical system. You need to run a seperate power kit (8 gauge minimum; 4 gauge pref), then run RCA's from the line level outputs on the Pioneer. If you are planning to run a sub with the Soundstream then run your RCA's from the Pioneer's sub output. Let me know if I can help you any further.

Sound shuts off, sub still works

That is a common problem with this radio, for it can not go to loud without going down in volume or shutting down.

At high volume sound shuts off, subs still work

You most likely have a shorted or damaged speaker, which is causing the internal amp chip to shut down (but does not affect the preamp outputs). A test you can do is to fade to one speaker at a time and turn it up to se if it shuts down. Repeat with each speaker until you find the one that causes the fault. Then replace it.
