Blue-screen crashes I have a hp pavilion dv1000 that keeps crashing after about ten fifteen minutes of use. It shows a blue screen with white writting indicating that it is dumping memory and then crashes. Usually when it attempts to reboot right after it is unable to and I have to wait around 20 minutes before trying to reboot. When it was still under warranty I took it in to be repaired and the system board was replaced. It worked fine for a bit after that, then started running really slow alll of a sudden and started crashing again. Reformatting didn't do any good either. Any suggestions?

Hello Guys 1010us pavilion dv5 model when I play games it shuts down. So yesterday while watching Youtube it shutted down again. And blue screen is appearing and it shows that there is a problem with HDD...

the power shuts down or did the PC BSOD?
Blue screens of Deathh(sic)
BSODs are crashes, turning off is the PC turning its own power off.
blue screens of *****.
no OS stated, my guess XP? that loves to crash OS.
the chkdsk way is ok, it finds simple problems, only !!!
it does not really test the hdd robustly, nor do a smart analysis.
the tests on hdd are best done with linux boot cd/dvd or usb thrumb drive, (after chkdsk)

chkdsk from a OS running can hard to do if it BSODs all the time.!

we can also use F11 recover mode and do cmd, prompt there
and try that, chkdsk.
or from install disks, of you unstated OS. run Chkdsk
but best is this. be sure to check SMART 05 and C6 numbers

did you know as you type on this forum the severs here
actually check that S.M.A.R.T data page like 1 time every 10 min?
and when it sees that fail' it turns on a red light and tells the tech
to hot swap in a new drive.? (or emails him?)
the same technology works here, even W10 does this better.
it will tell you (in lame why) the HDD is going SOUTH.

if the PC can run for say 10 minutes and nOT BSOD crash
then run Crystal disk , (free)
as seen in the link above.

your PC has and F11 key, called recovery and has and advanced page. below is w10 , what OS do you run: we cant guess OS

Blue screen error

Yes. This means your hard drive has crashed. Return it quickly and get another one. Luckily for you this didn't happen later when a lot of precious files would have been lost.

My computer (HP Pavilion Entertainment laptop) keeps giving me a blue screen saying it is "crash dumping". This happens mainly when I try and download something. It won't allow me to download any...

This could be caused by a corrupted operating system, a virus or a faulty memory card. You may first try to restore your computer to a date when you think it last allowed you to download something. See if it works.

To run system restore, go to start>all programs>accessories>system restore.

HP Pavilion laptop freezes daily and i force manual shutdown

It sound's like there could be a compatibility problem, maybe corrupt file's, or missing start up file's, have you tried doing a window's update, or doing a disc check on the hard drive, go to my computer right click the drive then go to propertie's, click on tool's then click check now for drive error's. if that do'es not work you may need to reformat back to the original xp os.

Toshiba A105-S2101 keeps crashing!

Sounds like a memory 'leak'. Just because it's the 'correct' memory, doesn't mean it's not faulty. I would have them exchanged.

You can run a Microsoft memory diagnostic program to determine is they are faulty.

The software is free from Microsoft from here:

Also, always try to stick with a 'known' brand (kingston, samsung, etc).
