I am looking at the mouse and the batteries.

I have taken the one screw out of the bottom of the mouse

I have then tried to pry the back of the mouse off but nothing happens

I do not want to force the back off and break this wonderful mouse without ever having had an opportunity to use it

I am not the only person in the room

the other three can not figure it out either

I've taken the screw in the back off but I can't seem to take the cover off. Is this where i put the batteries in?

There is a grey bar on the top of the mouse. There are two sides to press in. One side will pop out the usb plug in, which would make it wireless. The other end (closest to the scroll bar) will open the case. It is kinda a junky mouse, so press the button in, and pull the black case. It will open right up. I have owned several of these mice, and they are grade A junk. If i were you I would either throw it away and buy a better brand. It will give you nothing but headaches! Dont forget, plugging the usb cord in should charge the batteries while in use.

How do I update my wireless mouse?

try updating the mouse drivers. Go to the Verbatim manufacturer website, search your model of mouse and download the latest driver. To update drivers on windows go Control panel>device manager>mice/input device then right click your mouse and update driver software. If the mouse continues to play up even though it works on other computers then the mouse is probably incompatible with your operating system.

Driver for Dell BT Travel Mouse

If it is a dell mouse, it should automatically work after a few things. Simply locate the button on your mouse to power it on, open your bluetooth settings on your computer and scan. It will then add the drivers as a HID (human interface device). If that fails go to, search for drivers & downloads under support and search for the drivers & documentation.

If they are rechargable then they will be part charged so you can test the product. if it uses normal batteries and they are out of charge, then you should take it back to where you purchased it and ask for some.

Try to use it on another computer to isolate if the problem is the mouse or the software on your computer.

If the mouse does not work in another computer, then the mouse is defective.

Is the mouse does work in another computer, then reinstall the drivers on your computer.

Go to the manufacturer website to download the appropriate drivers

Normal 0 If the mouse doesn't have a little door to open on the bottom, then try this.
Just behind the Left and Right keys where your hand rests, apply firm pressure down on the cover and slide to the rear. Some mouse manufactures have used this type of access to replace the batteries.
Hope this helps. Bud
