Well... you only have so many moving parts so that's where to start looking. The most likely cause is a belt that's wearing out and slipping. Getting at a belt or other dryer parts can be difficult but a little patience goes a long way. Be sure to unplug the dryer first and save your screws in a cup so you don't loose them.

These are known for this. You will need to replace the rear drum bearing. Go to this is the part you will need. ($22.32 + shipping) It's located at the back of the drum. The round silver piece goes on the drum and the white plastic piece goes on the back panel of the dryer. (Notice the round silver ball. Make sure to not loose or forget to put it in when repairing) You get into this machine by going through the top and front. Not the rear. Good luck

My 2006 VW Jetta is making loud, screaming/screeching, sound from the passenger side-front, behind the the dash/glove box, between the engine and wheel.

I would like to think it is the electric fan behind the radiator that is screeching. When you stop the car, everything should stop, but that fan. That fan is supposed to cool the radiator, even after the engine is off and the car stops. It would not be so bad, because it does not run as much, in cold weather, but in hot weather, it should start sooner and run longer.
I needs to be replaced.
Be blessed.

Cv axle grease

You have to replace the worn axle assy on that side
No way to grease it- unless you remove the axle &
dissassemble it & wash it clean first
Surely a load grinding noise tells you the problem is
well beyond any greasing.
You can only remove the axle, wash it out & grease it,
if the boot rips & you get it apart in a day or so,otherwise
road grit will destroy the axle before you know you have
an open joint from a boot issue
On a 1998-- I would do both sides & be done with the axles

Gmc yukon suv back end sounded like it dropped out and loud grinding screeching sound whats wrong

These axles have weak axle bearing mounts. Follow the grease trail and you will be able to see which one cracked. I fix this with an older year model axle.

Making a loud thump sound

Frigidaire 5.8s dont have roller to support the drum instead they use a machined ball in back sat down in a plastic hub that is cupped to hold it in and covered in grease. the front rides on wear strips on the front panel felt pads. take front off and check these for excessive wear, cracks, etc. then take drum out (remove plastic hook at top center to give clearance) lift up at rear to take out of bearing cup.
if by some chance this is a 7.0 then you should still have a warranty

1993 subaru legacy front cv axles

First thing to have checked would be the front CV axles. If the rubber boots rip and allow the grease out it can damage the joints and they will make a clicking sound. Worn out axle joints can also bind and make it feel jerky. If they are making that loud of a noise it could become a safety issue, have them checked out soon.

Dryer makes a loud squeaking/squealing noise while drying.

If the dryer model number begins with 417, the drum is supported by a ball bearing in back, and a seal and glides up front. Often, the bearing will become very dry, either from years of use, or from excessive lint blowing up into the bearing. If the bearing isn't cracked or otherwise noticeably bad, you can usually solve the issue simply by lubing the bearing with a high temp grease. While the machine is apart...(a major pain in the butt), make sure to check the condition of the seal and glides on the front panel, and replace the belt if it looks at all cracked or frayed.
If this dryer is not a 417 and/or does not have a rear bearing, it's best to get a maintainance kit (belt, idler pulley and drum rollers) and install all the aforementioned parts, as they are the most likely source of screech. Also, check the motor by spinning the shaft manually with the belt off....if that is squeeking, it's motor
