Tv shuts down after afew minutes after turning it on

The fan will run on for approx 1 minute after it has been turned off. This is to cool the unit down and clear any fumes or gas.

What is this vehicle year make and model? What engine is this?

Thia is a indication that the unit is overheating. Now the causes of this can be a cople things... the fan may have slowed or may be cloged.. In the past there have been instances were a faulty temperture sensor or thermal switch might cause this. I have replace many of these sensors at the shop. Mitsubishi has issued service bulletens on this problem. THere not difficult to get replace and are about 75 dollars to replace(at our shop)

if you can dis assemble including flex and lcd then do it .and clean the mainboar with laquer thiner with toothbrush it will dry in afew minutes

How old is your TV?
TV's have a circuit that monitors the high voltage and shuts down the set if it senses something amiss. If the set is at least 10 years old this is typical and not worth repairing. If less, figure on replacing the flyback transformer.

This is the problem in vertical section. There is no vertical drive pulse continuously from deflection processor. May be dry soldered in vertical output section or failure in jungle ic setion. Without getting continuous pulse from system the processor shuts the tv to the protection mode. This can be serviced by the qualified technicians only.
