There are few things that could have happened here. You may have damaged the screen only or you could have an internal damage, which is the motherboard.First try to test this laptop to an external monitor,if it works perfectly there then replace the screen only else it could be the motherboard itself which will be more costly.Try the parts on ebay as they would be cheaper there but look for a reliable and experience ebayer.Hope this helps.

Dropped my HP D7 laptop. It slid out of my backpack from about 2 feet onto hardwood floor. On bootup, lights turn on for the keys and around the touchpad perimeter, and everything works fine with an HDMI...

You possibly cracked your screen or caused the ribbon cable to disconnect when you dropped it and just can't see what the error codes are saying. Is probably asking you if you'd like to start in safe mode with the beeps but you can't see it with a cracked screen or disconnected ribbon cable. Take it to a repair shop for a diagnosis.

Reset the bios password Toshiba A105-S2131 i cant do nothing, no dos, no windows when i just turned it on tha screenn of logo toshiba apears and then the password, if some can helpme ai really apreciate...

Sounds like you have a bootup password set in the bios. Press the key for getting into the bios and if it does not ask for a password then you can change the setting for bootup password.

If not then you will have to have the bios reset. In a desktop it involves unplugging the computer and either removing the battery or using the jumper to clear cmos.

On the laptop it would be unplugging it, removing the battery, accessing the internal area to remove the cmos battery to clear the cmos.

If it's at bootup:

You need to temporarily remote the CMOS battery from the motherboard to reset the bootup password.

Bootup password

to be honest, your probably not going to get very much luck on this one. the bootup password, if i'm not mistaken, would be your system startup password. it's built into your bios (which is part of your motherboard). it's not even on the hard drive or the operating system in any way. no windows or anything involved. if this is the case, there's not really anything you can do aside from remember the password. however, if it's a windows password. you have several options. including small programs that bypass passwords for windows.
