Canon ip4000 - no disc to install on computer to print to CDs

Hi

I have recently had to revert back to my canon ip4000 printer - however although once plugged in the computer recognised it and automatically downloaded the drivers, i can't get the CD print facility on it to work - previous printer used on that computer was ip4200 which is now malfunctioned and so disconnected... reconnected ip4000 but cannot find original disc to upload the CD print toolbox... any suggestions...
Thank you...

Canon IP4000 Error Code 5100

It is a carriage error.
Most times this is a serious error that requires a Canon tech to fix it.
Look at the carriage and see if there is something obstructing it's movement. If you recently had a paper jam, there may be some paper stuck in the path.
You should be able to move the carriage freely with the power off.
Let me know.

IP4000 won't print anything except magenta

Hi make sure that the cartridges are fully installed and that you have taken the packaging completely off. Failing that there are two possibilities.
1 Print cartridges faulty or refills
2 Faulty Print cartridge head.

Thanks hope this is of some help

Printing Problem

Cleaning cycles use ink. So it's no wonder it got worse, the ink level went down. Are you 100% sure that the black cart is full? they can give a wrong reading on occasion. what makes you think its full? Could be also that you need to replace the head- the part the cart fits into. generally they don't last more than 18 months.] Another possibility is that the black is indeed full, but dry. Put a wet sponge to the nozzle, see if it soaks up a decent amount of ink. Good luck
