If battery test out to be good and strong and starter is not turning, then either the cable connection is not a metal to metal contact, or the solenoid or ignition switch is faulty. Can you turn key to on position and jump the terminals on the solenoid and have engine crank over?

No problem at all when i parked. the next mourning would not start. turns over with strong battery

Unsure what your asking. If it only starts with a strong battery, then it could be your alternator isn't recharging your battery properly, or your battery is not holding a charge. Have your battery load tested. A battery can be fully charged, but still be too weak to crank.

Car has no power to start

If you turn the key and the engine does NOT crank over (try to start) then test to see if the battery has any power. Turn the headlights on and if they come on strong then your battery is good and something is wrong with your starter. If the lights do not come on strong then your battery is empty. You will need a jump start using cables. After that run the car for 15-20 minutes without stop. If it will not even run after the jump start then your alternator is bad. After running it for some time turn the car off and try to restart it. If it starts your battery is still working. If the car will not start again after running it for 20 minutes then you need a new battery because your old one is not charging up anymore.

2002 cavalier, trac off light came on and then car died and could not get it started again

I would agree with the mechanic. Since the engine will start but dies, you can assume that the battery may be (barely) strong enough to start the vehicle but not strong enough to keep it running. After the engine starts, the alternator does the lions share of producing enough electrical energy to produce a strong spark at the spark plugs. If the alternator is not doing its job, the battery drain fairly rapidly and your engine will die. Within a fair degree of certainty, I would say that the "trac off" light will not occur after the alternator is replaced.
Best of luck!

Van will not start. Battery is strong. Starter is turning over, but suddenly - and without warning - the van will not start.

  • check fuel supply(pump)..if no fuel....
check fuel pump relays and fuel pump
  • check ignition (or spark)at the plugs..no spark check plugs/damaged plug leads/faulty coil pack

2005 kawasaki 750 vulcan, starts hard and doesn't seem to be charging,is it the stator??

i have found on these bikes that if the battery is not strong enough it does not crank the engine fast enough to start easily. Especially like it sounds like you are concerned about the charging.Maybee jump start the bike with a strong battery of a car or powerpack and see if this still happens. Beware when jump starting not to short the leads you could blow your CDI.

Battery is strong. no prior problems. no click, no

Corroded battery terminals, perhaps. Clean them and reattach. Could also be a bad starter or a bad starter relay.
